IMPORTANT - Event Creator, Will Improve The Career

I think you make a valid point. There are so many tacks and cars we rarely get to use. Creating new events with certain specifications would be a great idea.
 
Well the level of feedback to this thread has been so much higher than I anticipated...
So how do we take this further?
Should I save all of your names to a sort of 'petition' and send the link to PD?

As stated in my initial post, this has never been a rant or a protest by an angry mob (and thank you to every supporter for maintaining that), but how do we convince PD this is a good feature to implement? I don't know how we can bring it to their attention without seeming immature and childish...
 
We can't, there is no known way of contacting PD. The only way I'd know is have the idea translated to Japanese by a native speaker and post it on Kaz' twitter.
 
Well if anyone is willing to do that, I'd be extremely grateful.
Other than that, I guess we'll just have to hope PD find us, then.

So I just realized... basically you are wanting credits and xp with the arcade races. Sounds great to me. I like how there is 3 difficulties in arcade and when you choose your car all the other cars are matched pretty well too. And of course you get to pick your track and can even use your custom track. This would be super easy for PD to update into the game.

I think of it as the freedom of arcade mode added to the actual career. You can choose a custom car and track, but actually physically integrate it into a custom A-spec event. For example, make the '1950s world championship' as a 5-race series across whatever tracks you want and against relevant AI. Think of it more as your own unique extension to the career.
And yes, theoretically all it would take is the cutting and pasting of PD's own event-creating system, which they'll have used for the career events!

I actually tried this twice over the last couple of days. Problem is the size of the link means you get 70 characters to sell the idea to him, and with a message that small it's hard not to soud rude. So he'll dismiss it as hatemail, which is fair enough. Also if it's only brought up by one person that doesn't really highlight the popularity of the idea.
So should we all agree on a common message to tweet to him? Is it fair to inundate his page with what'll look like spam? And will it convince him to look, or just annoy him and lose us our chance? It's difficult to know the right thing to do.
 
This is brilliant!! It would make the amount of events in GT5 almost limitless and the idea to share with your friends is an awesome idea too. You could have online championships with AI as well.

This would fix the only problem I have with GT5!! :D

OK, I've been thinking about this for the last few days and the best idea I can come up with is if we all tweet a common message to Yamauchi-san. It'll probably look like spam but at least he'll notice it that way. My proposed message:

Signed, this would keep my interest in GT5 going forever and a day. Be great to create a 'global GT' with JGT and DTM style cars in it.

I just want to be able to set a series of randomly generated point to point rally events. then would just pick a different rally car from my collection and get racing. it would be infinitely re-playable.

Spamming Kaz's twitter acct is frowned upon here, especially if you associate yourself with GT Planet. A member did this to get a response on the full adjustable race transmission thats not fully adjustable. After a crapload of spamming Kaz replies that it will be fixed shortly. He also did this in the name of GT Planet and got scolded for doing so. Don't do it.

On the other hand..the logical one, there is NO WAY to actually communicate with PD so what are we supposed to do? I know there is the official forum, but Sony doesn't look at that let alone PD participating or answering anything. So if you want to spam him on your own I say right on hell ya. If he doesn't like it then maybe he could update his blog more than once a year and answer questions on occasion so everything GT isn't such a guessing game.💡

The Event Creator would have been much better as a career mode than what we have now, and its endless.+1000 SIGNED
 
Great idea. Just about all of it. I'd like the ability to increase difficulty, since I like modified fast cars. Yet the AI gets blown away most of the time. And the cash reward could be dependant/calculated off of the difficulty somewhat.
