Incredible videos!!!!

ok, thnx a bundle, man, you really were great for us 2day. if you find any other hidden tracks, please hack em out and make a vid. im sure we would all be real eager to see any new additions. thnx again oh and one more thing. could you try and clear out your private message thing. i've tried sending messages, and it just says the storage thing is full. see ya

Downloading as I type, I find it weird they'd just cone off the East section, unless it's like run off - in which case it's a stupid place to have run off if there's a tyre wall further up the road. If there isn't that's stupid because it'd be a huge shortcut, why not just wall it off properly like in GT3?

As said by all, nice work BreakerOhio, we appreciate the effort, especially as you're on dial up (right?), so kudos to you.

It looks like theres more than one runoff area in the grandvalley vid.I remember KY saying there would be new variations of some existing tracks, maybe this is one.

Damnit, I want to know how they managed to drive the Cuda, i'm pretty sure that isn't the AI driving it.

Edit: Just a sidenote, the Cuda and several other cars were driveable in the first E3 demo that prologue is based off. Maybe that's how it was obtained. But I wanna know!

So far I've seen Trial Mountain, Deep Forest and Infineon. I love Trial Mountain's new look, it reminds of a track in Need For Speed High Stakes based on some American national park. The trees are way improved over GT3's.

Deep Forest looks very nice, I thought the road texture was going to be a bit more broken up as I'd heard from people but I was just dreaming. I was also expecting some nice dust or dirt to be smeared on little sections of the track where there are those side-roads. A similar effect to the leaves on Autumn Ring in GTC.

Otherwise looking very good, cheers for the videos!

Yosemite looks like a VERY fun track, from the map...

And maybe cutting through the GV East section will get you a 90 SECOND PENALTY!!?!!!1!!!1!111`!~~!1

or not, you never know.

Was anyone else blown away by the new RR5? Awesome! We have rainbows in GT4! Cool. 👍

I had a dream once where I was driving on a track that was suspended above a city, just like in the Route 5 video. Too bad PD can't leave it like that.

Great job with the videos, dude! 👍

Just like in GT2. I hope that was a sign that the Grand Valley East, and West courses both return.

SSR5 didn't look finished to me. GVS looked nice if almost identical bar the bridge seemed different... and there was a lot more grass instead of sand, plus the final chicane seemed bastardised sadly.

Thanks a lot Breaker :)
About the heatwaves on Deep Forest. They look a little better at some points, but maybe overused, and it appears to me as the cars drive into an area with waves. They suddenly drop into this "wavy" zone, and then pops out of it. . .
Nice to see they are working on the effects though 👍

WOW!!! Some great new video goodness... Breaker you kick a$$!

For my comments... first off everyone should note that these are hacks of the Asian prologue disc so in many cases you're seeing very early builds so there aren't too many 100% complete courses (other than the ones you can actually drive on GT4P). Also, the cars don't drive the course properly b/c it's a hack and if the course isn't complete the "path" the AI cars take on the track also shouldn't be assumed to be complete, hence the wonkiness of their driving. And things like the heat wave are elements being tested, if you note in the video it's like a heat wave wall... it only exists at one point on the track, i'm sure in the final GT4 it will be blended in. So remember, these vids are about seeing the track development up until that point in time.

As for the vids...

Grand Valley... yes looking very similar EXCEPT for the coned off GV East!!! and the piece of track that reenters the course near the end right before the main straight and the Start/Finish line (can't remember if that was entirely new or from a GT1 or 2 course??). Great to see that GVE looks like it's back! Loved that varient.

SSR5 Wet... stunning... yes there's still some modelling to be done, but the update looks phantastic and the rainbow is tres cool!

Yosemite... looks like a great new RALLY track!!! Lot's of tight curves... hopefully some of the mountain scenery and elevation changes will find their way into the final course design.

Infineon, Motegi... great to see some more real life circuts coming into GT... Infineon is a great course IRL, can't wait to see it in its GT glory.

wow now i know what it's like to post like John :sly:

why so many rally tracks???

Because people like them. :)

I think the Imrezza's and Evo's are very popular cars in the game, so it makes sense to make tracks that suit them. Also if your putting WRC cars in the game, it also makes even more sense.

It's also easier to make a rally track. They've been totally made in the imagination, so far. And so don't have to be copied from real life. They've also only had 2 cars per race upto now, cutting down on time sorting the multi car AI.

I may be wrong, but that's my idea for their inclusion.

Phantasm- It doesn't look like Yosemite track will have any elevation changes. From where the cars are on that video you can see the face of El Capitan, and if you follow the track map from there it appears that the track will run down Yosemite valley to the base of Half Dome and back. Yosemite valley is completely flat, but hopefully there will be another track that goes up to Glacier Point! Should be a very scenic track anyway.

^ i was afraid of that... hopefully we'll have some hill climbing. But i agree the scenery should be stunning... esp with what we've seen thus far from PD for GT4.

Gran Turismo 4 get's better and better everyday.

Grand Valley East Section dropped 2 chunks of course from the main Grand Valley Speedway - directly after the first split point after the first hairpin, the track went straight instead of sweeping left, and rejoined into the long sweeping left-hand turn that follows the tight hairpin on the Speedway circuit. The other piece was considerably larger - following the first tunnel where T2 is, the track goes right and comes out that road you saw leading on to the main straight before the final kink - East Section bypasses the entire second tunnel, bridge, third tunnel and final esse.

I was just stating the tracks didn't look finished to me because some members seemed to be suggesting they were, and I think that's a bit unrealistic - but with that said, if these are unfinished, what we have to look forward too should be pretty cool.
