Industrial music, anyone?...Music

A1-242
A few good tunes from some of my favorite bands.

Pailhead - Don't Stand In Line

Ministry - Black Betty

Love Ministry and pailhead, though not a huge fan of ministrys cover of black betty. I do like there cover of Lay Lady Lay though

Started listening to Flesh Field at the end of last year, with a mixture of electro-industrial "Aggrotech" and some orchestral elements.

We Stand Alone is definitely one of their best tracks to date. I like pretty much everything they've produced over the years, from their earlier harsh beats and abrasive sounds to their more polished pieces that are found in the more recent albums.

That said, Sequencer (Beta) and Europa are my favourite albums as a whole.

They just came through town here in Los Angeles, about a week and a half ago. I'd either forgotten/didn't know that they do SO many tracks that I enjoy at the club. Definitely a great live show. :)

And, this Friday: Andy is doing a show as Icon of Coil! :D

I've kinda been ignoring Apoptygma Berzerk until recently. I have no idea why I didn't give there music a listen until now.

AB's early works aren't bad, and I see some fans don't like the band's more recent Post-Punk and Alternative Rock direction, but again I think some of the songs on the last 2 albums are pretty good.

Harmonizer and Welcome to Earth are the only 2 I really go back and listen to. Some quality Futurepop/EBM in both of those releases.

Apop has definitely covered a pretty broad range of styles over the years. While I admit I'm selective about some of their more recent work, I attribute it more to the fact that I tend to listen to the "louder" stuff nowadays. =p

:(

This thread started way too good. Front 242/Nitzer Ebb. Yes!
I must admit, I was missing other real influencing stuff like Front Line Assembly and Skinny Puppy.

But then, a few postings later...

Faderhead TZDV.. Tanz zwo drei vier..
Sorry, sounds like a bad dub of Nitzer Ebb's Warsaw Ghetto transferred to nowadays for me. Maybe it's just that the fact that I already heard that Faderhead song some years before and nearly cried.
They were doing the support act for Front 242 and I really felt ashamed at where this whole "scene" went.

Yes, I'm more the "old school" EBM head.

If music really needs to be from this millenium, why not listen to Apathy from Spetsnaz? 👍 ;)

*EDIT*

Ok ok. I have calmed down, thanks to Leaether Strip ;)

Leaether Strip - Crash Flight 232/92

and

Leaether Strip - The White Disgrace

The lack of Pitchshifter in this thread is disturbing.
Thank you for contributing where I have been remiss. ;) Cheers!

Nothing wrong with that. :)

I do like what Spetsnaz is doing; fits perfectly alongside of classic Nitzer Ebb / 242.

Speaking of: did you follow McCarthy's work, for the Fixmer / McCarthy project? IMO, sounds like the logical progression of the Nitzer Ebb sound.

I just know 3 songs from Spetsnaz. I really should take some time and discover more of their elder stuff. But, Apathy... Timeless, classic. Great work!

It wasn't possible for me to listen to the Fixmer/McCarthy songs up to their ending. I've got bored of the tracks quite fast. They are way to minimal for my taste.

One of my all-time favourites:

Front Line Assembly - Neologic Spasm

GTPlanet's best kept secret. ;)

A few side-projects for you today. :)

C-Tec was a composite side project, with such heavy-hitters as Jean-Luc De Meyer (Front 242,) Mark Heal (Cubanate,) Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly,) and others being involved.

song: Stateless

H3llb3nt was another composite project, involving Jared Louche (Chemlab,) Bryan Black (Haloblack,) Eric Powell (16Volt,) and Charles Levi (My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult.)

song: 3 Murders, 3 Nights

Ending the set with a kick in the @ss, what better way to wrap up than a project containing Al Jourgensen of Ministry, and Jello Biafra of Dead Kennedys? :)

artist: Lard
song: Forkboy

Gravity Kills, anyone? Was a big fan of these guys growing up.

This is probably my favorite from them.

Oh **** yes! The entire Test Drive Off-road OST was nothing but this band.

They are suppose to have a new album coming out this year. I can't wait since bands that were around in the 90's still can make music that is tons better then the crap from these ****** bands/artist that popped up in recent years.
