IndyCar Formula Gran Turismo Endurance Race at Indy Tryouts!

This will be an endurance race of Formula Gran Turismo (indycars) at Indianapolis Speedway.The race length (laps) is still being decided and we can have up to 15 drivers in the race. To sign up, you must first tryout on my IndyCar FGT Tryouts server in GT5. If you are a good-quality driver then you will be given the chance to race at this online endurance race.

The server called INDYCAR FGT TRYOUTS!!! in Indianapolis Speedway is the TRYOUTS server. If you would like to tryout, simply join the server and we will start practicing and racing!
The sign-up sheet will be on this thread. The people on the list would need to tryout and be given a thumbs-up 👍 so they can race in the endurance race.

The endurance race date is currently unknown and will be known once enough drivers are let in. There will be as much as 15 drivers participating in the race.

GT5 Server Tryouts are on each day at 7:00 PM Eastern Time(North America).

The server is always called INDYCAR FGT TRYOUTS!! and the TRYOUTS are in the Superspeedway at Indy. Formula Gran Turismo MUST be used. No aids. Races vary.

This post provides information of how this race is going to work:

First we will have qualify in free run.The fastest person starts 1st. The slowest=last.

Then when the race starts after the countdown, you guys racing will follow the PACE CAR(that's me). You will settle in rows of 3 like real indy.

(Cars will be in rows of 3, cars behind the first 3 cars(1st,2nd,3rd) will be straightly behind,so 6th straightly behind 3rd, 10th straightly behind 7th, 14th straightly behind 11th, etc.)




It will take 1 lap of the race for the cars to get in order. Once the cars are in order and the pit lane is coming up then I will go in the pits (PACE CAR) and you guys will start racing while entering lap 2 of the whole race.

I will then spectate and maybe someone can commentate on the race. Anyone that crashes is to continue racing unless you want to retire from the race, but make sure to avoid contact next time. If you run out of fuel simply go on the outside of the track so cars don't crash into you. If your tyres are worn out, go on the outside of the track and surely avoid contact. If its top hard for you to drive and you keep spinning around, please retire.

If a big crash occurs at the start, the race could be restarted. If you are on the racing line and stuck while crashed, please retire immediately or immediately go on the outside of the track.

I could save replay of the endurance race and then put it on a USB so I can upload to YouTube, would be cool. Even better, someone with a mic commentating on the 125 lap race. We could make use of this. Maybe a league website, but that's optional.

I like the idea of a league website. Even if it's a blog it would make things easier as far as car specifications, yellow/caution rules, etc. Is there any way we could have today's session earlier than 7 ET? The Firestone 550 is on ABC tonight.

The tryouts are only 1 hour when it's 7:00 PM EDT. So yes you will have enough time to watch the indy race tonight as so do I.

There is a specific setup just for FGTs racing at a Speedway. Here it is:
936 HP(the cars max is only 936 HP)
Oil must be new, these cars get bad oil quick.
Transmission: Top speed 261 mph/420 kmh
Suspension: Ride Height: 10/10(front and rear)(highest possible)
Aerodynamics: Downforce: 40/55(front and rear)(lowest possible)
All upgrades possible in Tuning Shop should be installed on your car.

Soft tyres
Automatic and Manual are both good on the car, most driving of a Indy race really does not require much gear changes in fact you can stay on the same gear (6 or 7) for the whole rest of the race unless you pit.

ABS,TCS,ASM,etc. is NOT needed.
