some mod chips are malfuntional though. My friend got one and it ****ed up his ps2 for some reason

Yeah, i've completed that at the arcade already.
You get a game card, which saves your progress, so you can upgrade the car with aero parts, wheels, exhausts, and engine bits, then use your car in battles. Quite cool, a little too small though.
The arcade featured 4 tracks, and 4 opponents on each track.

I remember that game.. it was so awful, pretty old too, I hope the PS2 version has better physics...

ps2 version's graphics aren't as smooth as itz Naomi counterpart, but there's voices!! lol my friend bought it and i beat it in like 2 hrs

yah i beat the game many time already, but now i stopped playing cos i wasted a lot of money on it. and also cos now i spend more time drifting in GT3, so no time for ID.

yeh, ive got the game on PS2, japanese version, its probally one of the easiest racing games eva, you drift so easily and control thecars so easily, and you control the cars as though your on a roller coaster...very easY! i got it in hong kong cos it came out 6 months ago....didn't know it was coming out in english.

i heard that kaido battle is NOT coming to the US.

the initial D ps2 game is supposed to come out when tokyopop introduces their english version of initial D to the US so as to promote the game and english version of iD at the same time.
