Initial D Style Drifts

Well there are a lot of episodes so perhaps you'll just have to check them out.
62(First stage,Second stage and fourth stage) plus a 1 hour movie and 2 45 minute specials(Special stage,Battle stage),so yes there are quite a number of episodes to view.Just to warn you,First stage isn't "beautiful" but watch if for the content, as for the rest they are well drawn and animated, especially fourth stage^_^.

You know what's really funny, the yellow FD is the wrong one, that is the 2001 FD . . .the FD that Keisuke has is the 97( it's a different yellow and yes it is avalable in GT4 )
The FD that keisuke has is actually a '93, I believe. The manga was published in '95, it could not be a '97.

The Civic never actually drifted. Sice its an FF then it just takes the corners normal but at a little higher speed. But, nice pic. I have never managed FF drifting until now....
If you want to try doing it yourself, most drifting done by FF's is purely inertia based, shift the weight from right-to-left or left-to-right before an entrance of a corner, but you'll also need to make sure to lift off the gas either all the way or most of the way. Understand it's going to have to be an extremely fast entrance, so it'll take some serious practice because you're not going to be able to step on it at all through-out the corner or else you'll start understeering, and even turning the way your countersteering.

edit: You'll also need to brake before the turn in a straight line, but not too much because like I said it's a fast entrance for an FF.

Hmmm, you are probably right, I am only learning Japanese now,so I can't say I have read the original Manga, all I know is that the anime started in 97-98 and the only FD that has the proper color is the 97 avalable in used secton in GT4.

Well, actually it depends what one you want. The Levin and Trueno are both in the Historic showroom and the S.S. version will come up once in awhile in the used car 2.

Nice edit for the trueno, only thing missing is the licence plate :D:D:D

I do wish GT4 had the forza vinyl feature in-game... it'd be cool...
Your first shot had a nice angle!👍 👍

Well here's my cap drift pics...

Fourth pic's quite large, I wanted a large resolution shot so I had to stitch some pics (including the 3rd picture) together.

Froza is weird...to drift in...

I wouldn’t say that, The Fujimi Kaido DH is really fun to recreate Initial D style drifts in and its really easy too. Drifting on flat ground is a bit different though because it always seems like powering over but that doesn't mean other techniques will work. But come to think of it, my friend got a new laptop and the decal ripping programs might work on his so, atteiros do you think you could put up a sole image of just Fujiwara tofu shop and perhaps Redsuns? Oh and that fourth pic is pretty cool it never clicked to me to make something like that.

I prefer drifting in Forza to GT4. BTW thatman, I used google earth for the coordinates under your avatar, Minnesota? Whats the weather like there?

You'd be correct to assume that the FD that's in Initial D is the Zenki, so you'd be right to think it was produced before 97? I belive it is. Or 99, but w/e. The Mazdaspeed bumper that they used is OLD school, and came out back when the FD first came out, and is hard as hell to find, as well as discontinued after a handfull fo years of production. Thus, the Kouki FD couldn't have been in ID. (Other than the arcade game). Now, as the FC, we'd all be technically right/wrong. In the Comic Ryosuke drives an Infini, but in the cartoon it's a Savannah. =D Regardless, ID was something that sidetracked my actual crave to drive, so I used it. I was into the whole drifting thing awhile ago, and I came across it when I first started to drive R/C's (around 8). I'm now and a proud owner of a Zenki FC.

I would too if I had a wheel for my box but I don't. I was kinda hoping sombody would do that, weather:nervous: Hot, very hot, 98 degrees Fahrenheit As well with a humidity to come close to it. Best to just stay inside and play video games.

I got the picture/bitmaps from another website... Initial D Real Cars The only decal information which isn't there are the sponsor logos. I used the pics from that same site, but they are different from the anime (as the anime did not have rights to the logos of the real manufacturers).

Well we don't really refer to it as a drift car per se... The character's racing style from the manga/anime Initial D just likes to drift a lot. :) ...

SS is short for Shuichi Shigeno, creator of the Initial D manga. GT4 gave him credit for it by including the Shuichi Shigeno version of the AE86. That's the CF hood with the black rims... It's missing the foglamps and the Fujiwara Tofu shop logo on the side. Cool car to have nonetheless 👍
