Initial D The MOVIE in Real Life

well i heard that some director in china is going to do Initial D the movie and it will take place in China and Japan, and Edison Chen is going to be Takumi!!! if you want more info, just go to www.kungfucinema.com and search for Initial D, imma try to look for more, i think its going to be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the info btw inkow that after project-x send to me thelink . sorry i forget ..btw the shooting start on october in china & japz...arghhhhhhh cant wait to see the INITIAL D real cars ...;)

It's going to be Hong Kong actors for the most part though. Edison Chan plays Takumi, but I think he fits a lot better as Keisuke, but the funniest part is Andy Lau plays BUNTA!

And yes I think it's gonna ruin Initial D, actually it won't, even if it sucks, because everyone in Hong Kong would have already seen Initial D.

I don't see how it could really "ruin" Initial D. Sure, more people will know about the anime after this, but there's already tons of people that know about it now. I just hope they get some good drivers and actors for it.

I hope that, too. As long as the driving and cars look good, of course people will watch it. Has anyone seen Legends of Speed with Ekin Cheng before? It's a pretty good drifting movie. If it's like that, then I'd surely watch it.

hmmm legend of speed its not drift its high speed highway battle like tokyo xtreme racer ...anyway if this is true sure the cinema will full & become the box office ...;)

i dont care how they made with which actors, i think they know what they're doing, not like 2 fag 2 furious, that movie is so stupid, i hated when they show racing movie deals with drugs, i mean thats gay, its not even street racing, they should called 2 fast 2 furious another name like street thug or something goshh!!!! but anwyays as long as the car is good then Initial D will be good!!!!!!!! oh and the drifting too!!!!

Night Drifter....

[mad] DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HK MOVIES? FIRST OFF, THE FILMING QUALITY TOTALLY SUCKED ASS. COMPARED TO AMERICAN MOVIES IT IS LIKE **** TO CHOCOLATE. YOU HEARD OF VCD? THATS THEIR STANDARD BECAUSE THEY'RE ALL EVIL PRIATED BASTARDS WHO DON'T GIVE A **** ABOUT PERFECTION. ALMOST EVERY SINGLE HK MOVIE HAS GOOD STORYBOARD NOWADAYS, BECAUSE THEY KEEP USING THIS SAME FORMULA WHERE A GUY "ACCIDENTALLY' MEETING A GIRL WITH SOME UNLOGICAL PHEMONOMON, THEN THEY SHOW THEIR LOVE, AND THEN SOMETHING REALLY TRAGIC HAPPENS, BUT THEY ALWAYS BRING BACK THEMSELVES TOGETHER. YOU TELL ME ANY ONE OF THEM THAT ISN'T ANCIENT HISTORY OR "LEVEL III", DOESN'T HAVE THIS TYPE OF STORYBOARD. THEY KEEP IMITATING AMERICAN/JAPANESE **** AND HARDLY EVER COME UP WITH ORIGINAL STUFF. IM TELLING YOU, IT'S GENE-RELATED TO THE CHINESE!!!![/mad]

I'm having fun, i'm alright...

Location scouting has begun for Initial D which will most likely be set in parts of China and Japan, and shooting is set to begin in October. This Cantonese language film, about a delivery boy who turns to street racing, will be produced by Media Asia and cast Edison Chen as the lead.

yep yep yep, cant wait to get my hands on the vcd

What do you mean... I'm from Hong Kong :D Shaolin Soccer has that formula in it too, I know Stephen Chow is the king of comedy but comeon man that meeting the girl part is ridiculous

Yeah... Internal Affairs... its so famous I didn't watch it... I watched that movie with Ms. Ng as a hooker instead... (the "infernal affairs" you're talking about is clearly a pirvated version from some idiot who pirated in HK for too damn long)

I saw this topic an another forum, thought you guys might like it.

Who in hollywood would you cast for the various roles in Initial D? Here's some examples for ya:

Takumi Fujiwara- What about James Van Der Beek? I don't know much about him. I just remember he's sorta blonde like Takumi. Can he can do the sleepy look?

Mogi Natsuki - Kirsten Dunst?

Takeuchi Itsuki- Jason Biggs. Tom Green is too old, unfortunately.

Ryosuke Takahashi- Billy Zane...if he has hair. Somebody else said Nicholas Cage.

Keisuke Takahashi- Hayden Christensen(sp?). The dude who was Anakin in Episode II. He can be brash at first, just like Anakin, and then get more focused later, like when he races Takeshi.

Takeshi Nakazato- Josh Hartnett. He has the whole ‘dark look’ to him, like Takeshi. Dress him up in dark clothes, give him extra thick eyebrows, and there you go.

Mako Sato- Heather Graham? Claire Forlani? I dunno.

Sayuki- Drew Barrymore. I dunno about her, either. At least she’s blonde.

Sudo Kyoichi- Vin Diesel. Just joking. Maybe Matt Damon if he can act tough enough. He was pretty good at it in The Bourne Identity.

Seiji Iwaki- Matt Schulze. Just Joking again. Maybe Ben Affleck. Oh wait, that’s worse. Forget it.

Shoji Shingo- Rick Yune. I would say I was joking, but Yune can really do the ‘mean look.’

Iketani- Paul Walker. Gotta have someone who can’t drive, right?

Kenji- Ashton Kutcher?

Bunta Fujiwara- Clint Eastwood. The emotions of a rock, and has the squinted eyes. Perfect! If he’s too expensive to cast, get Steven Segal. He could use some work.hehe

Yuuichi- Jason Alexander, or Rodney Dangerfield if he isn't too old.

some possible of the american version actors
i heard on a anime board

nah, it was a legit version....i just think it'z just engrish lol. They should at least check the dictionaries b4 writing things in english.

OMG, I didn't want to see that in english. It just feels really weird to hear someone else doing Stephen Chow's voice :nervous:

I believe it was the cast who dubbed it. Although Chinese accent wise... this is very bad Chinese accent ;)

Among Stepen Chow's favorites come God of Cookery and God of Gamblers. Good times...

I did a little research about 'Infernal Affairs' (note the f) and it is the correct title. Infernal is another word of 'hell'. Personally 'The Road of Hell' would be a better title. HK people like to style English letters with complexity but did it poorly... like the Japanese... they're like 'I know english b!tch! lemme show u my leet english skillllz!!!!!' Yea right...

The 65 Million Dollar Man (?), another one by Stephen Chow, was not that great as I expected, but at least the chick was pretty later in the movie :D

Haha, the shower head
