I asked some people I know and they couldn't suggest anything besides removing and re-inserting the BIOS which didn't work. Nobody had any ideas or suggestions so I contacted them and they should be picking it up on Monday..... If only I had some more PC knowledge. :)

Install from good PC then install into jacked up PC. It works I have done it myself. Still have the floppy in my pile of misc. crap.
Your MB Ethernet slot is not being seen. You need to install the media to recognize it.

You install it to a floppy or USB drive then install to the new unfinished PC.

Well I don't know anybody that has one, I just asked the most likely person that I think would have one.

I appreciate the help but it goes back Monday and hopefully they will fix it. I will have another quick look at it tomorrow before I pack it away.

Read my edited post above. In Toms Hardware there is a link to install from. Use your laptop to put it on a disk drive then install to new PC. Come on man! Hell if I could do it I know you can.

I may sound dumb but I can't find the link on that website.......?

Find out which Network driver your broken down shiny new PC is running. Right click your My Computer icon go to device manager. Look for trouble shooting. Run it. Find the one that says drivers are missing. Write down what it is. Search for the driver update on your wore out laptop. When you find it install to a disk drive. Then install it to the new PC. Use Toms Hardware site for more info if I can't make it clear to you. They are a plethora of knowledge and you can fix this in a matter of minutes. Trust me.

Right click my computer/properties/device manager/network adapters/double click whatever it is/click driver/ write down provider, version, digital signer. Now look it up on your laptop because you won't be able to update from the new PC. Also look at your driver file details for more info. I'll bet you some are missing.

Find the newest version put it to disk and then install to new broken PC.

I will have a look now, but Windows 8 is 🤬 and won't let me search for it...

Ok I tried updating my drivers to the latest version from the Realtek website, but it said the service provider is Microsoft on the properties, does that matter?

I had my Ethernet cable plugged in and my dongle and tried the AutoInstaller but nothing happened. I then did the same thing but clicked on Setup.exe instead. This time it did update the driver to something like 26/3/2013. I then unplugged the dongle and restarted my computer but it still didn't work, it just said no connections available because the cable was unplugged.

I didn't update it on my laptop then put it on usb to the new PC, should I have done or would it not make a difference?

You can't update the drivers because you can't connect with the new PC. You must update to a disk/floppy/USB from your laptop. Then install to new PC.

Use save as to USB drive floppy or disc. Then run the setup on the new PC.

Sorry for the double post.

Our new driver Omar Zanchi having a good race in the MX5 Super Showdown.

Yes, actually it was a fantastic race!
First of all I want to thank the guys who created the event and also you mates for giving me the opportunity to race with our colours, it was such an honour for me :)

Now let's go through the race:
Well, I started 25th, but at the end of the first lap I was in 30th position because I decided to be calm and slow down to avoid every type of incident.
(Afterwards, watching the replay, I think it was a good decision 💡)

After the first 3 laps I began to drive as fast as I could, trying to overtake slower cars and catch the "good train".
I went to the box for the first pit-stop later the others, and this strategy paid off because I rejoined the race 3-4 position ahead :sly:

Just 2 laps after the pit I made a little mistake and I was overtaken by a guy much slower than me, and it was impossible to got back my position because he was really aggressive.
That thing made me lost the contact with the top10, but I was comfortably in the top15, until the terrible mistake :guilty: :

During the second pit-stop I decided to drink something, just to keep fresh for the last half of the race.
It was a good idea, but I didn't keep an eye to the speed limit...I was given a 15s stop&go penalty :indiff:

In other words I made two consecutive pit-stops, and that ruined my race, because I rejoined in 22th (making same calcs I think I lost something like 40s.....)

For the rest of the event I was "pushing like a hell", I did a splash&go third pit-stop and ended up in 17th position.

Not bad you may say, but without that stupid mistake I would have finished in 14th, much better...I'm deeply sorry about that

P.S.
I am the driver who made the lower number of "incidents", it's just a little satisfation!!

Yeah that was a great race, I watched a good hour of it and found there was a lot of close racing across the field.

Nice move there as well Omar. 👍

Thank you ;)

Actually you've seen the "good" half of the race, the second half was a little bit boring compared to the first, especially to me :yuck:

Good race Madon. I hope it brings some sponsors to the team :D

Yeah, I hope so too ;)
I did that event because I wanted to give a great visibility to the team, I was a little scared about doing mistakes/incidents indeed.

I think I'm going to do the next event of this "series".
It will be at Interlagos on May 19th.

Of course you all are invited, I would like to race with you :dopey:

Paha I would love to, but my pace in the MX5 is terrible. I can get the hang of other cars, but seem to struggle in that for some reason.

Hey mate, believe me, these events are not all about pace, you need concentration and (of course) a lot of luck :dopey:
During the race I was far away (1.5s) from my personal best almost all laps, the important thing is to avoid contacts and incidents.

I would love to race with you guys, it'd be such a fantastic experience for us.
Give it a go, you'll never regret!

Well I'll see. The SOF Grand Prix races will be on Sunday at the same time, so they will be my priority, but I may be able to run one every so often.

Double Post again...

The News Page found on our website has been updated giving some reviews on some of our drivers seasons.

Our website can be found here: www.icmotorsport.com

Crikey! I'd better get to practicing then. Don't need the whole team/site know I'm the most "spectacular crasher who's setting all new INC records" in all of iRacing.

Somewhat kidding (just pay no attention to my 34INC (!) lead off GT race) That was a... err.... an anomaly. :sly:

Haha, no worries mate.

I think this season I'll just be trying to get my iRating up and around 3000, so I am not going to be competing for points this season.

I think this season I'm going back to the drawing board. When I started in '11, it was all about consistency and smart driving. Once I got that squared, I started to race. Most of my successes came not so much from taking positions, but just not giving them away.

Then I left for 6 months, NTM2.0 came out, and some time later, I returned. Tried to jump right back in where I left off, and promptly dropped 700iR. Not once did I try a start-over. With so much changed and a few seasons of dismal results, I think it's time to start over.

Goal #1 - stop ripping the rear end geometry out of the car on the kerbs. Grey = good. Red & White = bad. 💡
