Hi everyone,

Il soon be renaming the thread to showcase my new rig build but before I do I wanted to ask how many of you wish you could extend your steering column on your G27.

As some may know I have a business selling aluminium profile and as part of my rig build there with be a section on creating an extended steering column to bring the wheel out of the dash. I know a few have looked at doing this but there isnt an item currently available to do so dedicated to the G27.

Let me know if your interested in a kit and if it goes well with my rig we will be offering them for sale. Obviously rhere is no price at the moment but what would you pay for such an item?

Most people want ultra slim design, with the wheel offset as close to stock as possible. This is good for reaching the paddles, as well as reducing strain on the hardware. What would be the benefits of this extended steering column?

Its more for those who wish to use real dashboards and want the gubbins hidden away behind the steering shroud. Sorry I should have explained a bit better.

I've assemble similar thing using real dashboard, but also using OEM steering complete with the column, so it matched perfectly with the dashboard, also keeping the tilt and telescopic function as well.

My suggestion, you might need to make it into pieces, at least three pieces.

It would be built from aluminium and would come as a propper kit. Let me get my rig build underway and keep an eye on the thread for then I get to that stage of the build.

I would be interested if it retained all the standard connections for the buttons, would also be helpful if the column was hollow allowing a usb cable to be passed through to power sli-pro on wheel displays etc. cost less than £60. Interested to see you're rig design.
