Interest check for a GT2 Weekly Time Trial series

I'm thinking about setting up a weekly Time Trial challenge for GTP's GT2 players, and was wondering if anybody else here would be interested. It would work in a similar way to the GT5 Photomode Competition, in that the winner each week would get to choose the track, cars, regulations and tuning restrictions for next week's event (although the winner can offer this to someone else if they want to). Points will be awarded in the following way:

1st - 12pts
2nd - 10pts
3rd - 8pts
4th - 6pts
5th - 4pts
6th - 2pts
7th - 1pt
8th or below - 0pts

Should the series go ahead, don't worry about not being able to enter a particular event, as they are open and people can enter any event they want to, or drop out whenever they like.

Feel free to discuss, but if you are interested, end your post with a :). Once I get at least five people interested, I will begin.

I may be able to do it, depending on time. Last week was 63 hrs work over all 7 days... remember I'm a farmer, so that's expected. Would like to have a reason to fire up GT2 at least once a week before November, when things wind down.

:)

Great, finally some interest. Keep it coming guys. EDIT: Oh, by the way, I'll be choosing the rules and regs for the first race for obvious reasons. I'm planning something involving roadsters. You know, MX-5, MR-S, Barchetta, etc.

I'll take part for sure, how will this work, exactly? Never took part in one of these before

:)

Basically, the winner will get to choose the track, rules and tuning regulations for the next event. So, stuff like what sort of car will be competing, the track, which cars are eligible, and what tuning can be done on each car; as well as things like how many practice laps will be allowed. As we go on, scores will be topped up, and as it says in the OP, events are open to anyone so people can be flexible with their racing schedule. For example, someone who competes can go any amount of events without competing, or someone could enter one event then never enter again. But if you want your scores to tot up, it's advisable to enter as many events as possible.

We only need one more person interested and we can get going. I'll be hosting the events on either Saturdays or Sundays.

Ah, so sort of similar to the Guess a Car thread in the Cars in General forum, as far as scoring goes? People can come and go as they please, and scores total up the more they race? I'm down, I'm guessing we'll need to take photos of our screen to verify timing.

No, you won't need to take photos. I'll just have to trust you guys.

Fantastic. We have the five people I wanted to get started. (However, further people can still join). I'll PM you all with details of the first event on Saturday, as well as creating a new thread (also on Saturday). Prepare yourselves...
