i was noticing your cool time trial thread Mr P. you obviously are a really kick-ass event organizer. something i saw there might also be cool here, to show which controller was used in the run like in your leaderboard. since i have seen big difference between wheel and ds2 in rally, it seems more important to point out here. beside, i would like it if i could atleast rank decently with the other ds2 racers.

i know this has been talked about aleady, but maybe the idea of 10-12 3 man teams would be pretty cool and worth some further review. i know i'm just a newbie but still, it might be fun.

i wonder how many racers will drop out within the first 3 weeks. my money is on half. i wish it was'nt, but it is.

ok after posting this over the 4 forums that are participating ... the majority has opted to keep the event as a solo competition
so we dont need to team up and we all go Han Solo through the 8 weeks 👍

I am inclined to go with Arwins suggestion (thanks mate ) on the points situation which seems the best way to sort out the points , which will work out something like this ...

32 racers are signed up so far which will be capped at 35 to stop it getting too big and last minute entrants ..

.. so here's the points system ....

1st place = 1 point
2nd place = 2 points
3rd place = 3 points
4th place = 4 points
5th place = 5 points
.....etc....
.....etc....
.....etc....
.....etc....
.....etc....

34th place = 34 points
35th place = 35 points
DNF - 50 points

So this makes it the person with the Lowest points overall after 8 rounds is the Winner We will obviously have individual winners and credit to them as due but the best strategy will take the overall title .
A perfect 8 is the ultimate goal but multiple strategies will hamper the likeliness of that possibility anyway in a nutshell everyone will get points and alls well that ends well .

I hope everyone has a great competition and maybe we can have another 1 of these a year down the line with GT4

Lessee...8 x 35 is 280. I might actually be faster than somebody. So, I may be able to score in the low 200's.
