While GT PSP has many similarities to GT4, besides the obvious handling changes I have noticed quite a few small improvments that will probably pass onto future GT's (GT5 etc), here is some that I noticed:

*Interior cam (obvious)

*Improved tyre sounds on road

*New tyre sounds on rumble strips when spinning tyres or skidding (high pitch squeal like spining on smooth concrete)

*New solid suspension/body bottoming out sound (thud)

*New solid crash (wall/barriers) sounds

*Sparks and smoke when hitting walls/barriers

*New exhaust backfire/crack sound

*The ability to lock on the handbrake, come to a stop apply the handbrake (then let go of the button) and it stays on until you press the handbrake again or apply throttle, means we can hold the car anywhere now without holding down a button. :D

I am sure there is others I have can't think of now, what else have you noticed?

I'm not sure if I'm just imagining it, but it looks like the car sinks into the gravel traps a little when you beach it.

slipstreaming might be overdone, but it really adds something nice to the races.
Got up to 406 km/h with the SLR versus a bunch of Veyrons :P

I find the car sounds to be a little bit inferior to the GT4 version.

For example, compare a DeLorean in both games, a Mitsubishi FTO, a Plymouth Superbird, etc etc.

The tyre sounds are definitely better on the PSP version, but I'm finding it hard (even with a good set of headphones) to believe that the engine notes are as faithfully replicated as they were on the PS2.

The AI seems to be a little improved or at least better balanced. Close racing is easily achievable with it and they don't use the seemingly pre-scripted events like in Prologue.
The number of times so far where the AI has ducked about while giving me racing room is impressive, I don't recall the GT4 AI being this good anyway.

some of the barriers shift or move a little when you crash into them. Its easier to notice this in the challenges since the camera changes when you fail so its easy to see.

the ai has been upgraded from retarded to stupid. :-P

you get more sparks

I nothiced there is a an AI level that goes up, maybe they learn and get better?

I noticed the tracks are different than GT4. Highspeed Ring you can't ride the rails, you get stuck in grass and its HARD to get back to the track and you lose massive time. if you dont slow down soon eough you'll get stuck in the grassy death trap in turn 2. Test track also if you ride the rail you will crash and spin spin spin.

I deliberately parked my car on the apex of a corner. The AI rammed into me and wouldn't even let off the gas. After realizing that the're not going anywhere, they backed their cars up a few metres and rammed into me again, then they just kept at it until they rammed me out of their way. =/

You know, I can't say that you were performing within expected parameters for typical racetrack behavior.

However the battering ram approach is HILARIOUS. I did this just to see and having three GTR-Vspecs battering your car is so outlandish.

Well this just goes to show how the AI can't even adapt to your actions on such a basic level.

Just last night I did a race on Citta di Aria and as I turned up the last uphill very skinny road I clipped a wall and came to a stop, as I was driving away the AI caught up but because the road was so slim they slowed right down and followed me as I slowly accelerated away, I was very suprised they didn't ram me.

I have noticed this type of thing as well, however I have also noticed them running to me if I am in their line. It is greatly improved but could still use some work.

One thing I have noticed is that the sand traps slow you down more than in GT4. I haven't been in the grass much but it feels like it slows it down more as well. Hopefully they have it like this in GT5 as it will help reduce the number of cheaters.

Edit: I would love if GT5's arcade mode was setup like GTPSP's single player. Although the credits should not transfer into career mode.

Damn. That means I can't cut the chicanes on the back straight of Circuit de la Sarthe...I love doing that...

^If you want to cut the chicanes, there's an 'unchicaned' version of the La Sarthe. No need to cheat ;).

Forza 3 demo did the exact same thing when i was crashing around...

The AI is very much improved over GT4. But for some reason, i feel that some cars drive too erratically.
The driving line addition is great for beginners who are just starting out on GT and need to learn the tracks. Only thing that is absurd about the driving line is that it forces you(if you follow it) to drive like the AI. Braking a straight line for the turn, then accelerating a little bit, turn in, then braking before the apex and driving out of it. That isn't how GT4 taught how to drive. I guess when GT5 comes about the proper driving lines will come out that will have the amount of pressure that you would have to apply when braking or accelerating and bring it back to the way it was. (why didn't sony put pressure sensitive buttons on the PSP?)

When you get a new car you no longer have to turn assists off on every car individually.👍

The wheels indeed do sink into the gravel traps, which has a greater strength in trapping your arse than in GT4, so no more corner cutting advantages at Sarthe etc.

I have already heard somebody talk about engine sounds not being as good as GT4? anybody else have anything to say about engines sounds? I did hear the Nissan GTR on youtube and it seemd to sound better than in Prologue? Also the Vyeron seems to sound well off?
