pimp racer
 a Nascar cup car? That would be the funniest thing to watch. Thanks for the list.

Indeed! By the way, most people don't know what year is it. It's probably a old one. from the early 90's.

I'm curious to see how it will do the S do Senna curves after the whole main pit straight :scared:

They haven't decided yet. On the list they gave to us, it only shows the owner of the car.

But i'm curious too. I'll try to contact him, and maybe take a look in the car.

Cool list. 👍

Isn't there a roadcourse in the NASCAR line up? I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to set an old stock car for a road course

Oh thanks and I cant wait to see the full list! :D

Actually there are two road courses I believe. And on both of them about half of them end up not finishing. But I still think they have some talent. I always watch those road course race since it has one of my favorite drivers in it. Boris Said.

By the looks of teh cars on the list, it looks like any kinda car can enter. Is this an invite only thing and any car can enter?

The race will be on January 25th? That's 10 days after I turn 22!

So based on the list, would you say that this is Brazil's version of the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, even without an extremely long race track or an even longer race?

I guess you could say that. I believe this is our longest race here. It´s very cool, some famous pilots like Nelson Piquett and Emerson Fittipaldi use to race on it.

There are some restrinctions, but "basicly" almost any car can race. I don't know these rules precisely, because i never participated of the event. I just watch it like a motorsports fan. But if someone needs help at the race and ask my help, i would gladly help them.

Exactly. It happens at Interlagos, with no differences on the track layout. It's the same track that F1 happens. And it's a 12 Hours race, with the start of the race being at 00:00 midnight.

Just got some news.

The german team Konrad Motorsport confirmed it's presence on the 1000 miles of Interlagos endurance race. They'll race a Saleen S7R. The drivers will be:

- Franz Konrad (Germany)
- Michel Bartels (Germany)
- Antonio Hermann (Brazil)

Konrad Motorsport. Man... if your team would be able to knock off and upset Konrad, your morale would go higher than the CN Tower!

Well, my Team reserved two box slots, but my boss still hadn't told me which car they'll race.

I thinking it will probably be a Porsche GT3, or maybe a brazilian prototype.

Thta's one of my favourite tracks for F1 👍. I'm sure those cars would put on a great show around that track :).

Also John, have a happy 'day :D

Well if the S7R has troubles then I am betting Johnny's team will beat them.

Maybe this should be in my "Motorsport in South America" thread, but a "Brazilian Prototype?" I seen a show called "You Got to See This!" or some other show, but a race featuring GT-like and prototypes sportscars were racing, and some big accident occured somewhere in the race. But it was in the wet at some track in Bogota, Columbia (guess which F1 racer is from this city). So I'd have to imagine what South American sportscar racing would be like.

Hmmm...let's see... I have his hat, and his name starts with Juan and ends in Pablo Montoya?

Also: Option Stream Z (Nissan 350Z, duh)

Hey Johnny, would you know if any channel is going to broadcast the race? I would like to watch it.

Ouvi falar que a organização esta conversando com a Bandsports. Não posso garantir que vá transmitir, mas fique ligado em sites nacionais que provavelmente irão dizer se a corrida vai ser transmitida.

I think this sounds like a Brazilian Nurburgring 24h. I guess an American who would rather prefer anything stateside would say that the Daytona 24 is coming up. But to be honest, I'd sure like to see pictures, maybe even a few videos. I'm not a video guy, but this should be a great event down in South America's largest-size country.

Don't worry about pictures. I'll put here, all pics i find, from the Brazilian websites.

The free practice start this thursday, so expect pics soon.

Couldn't catch if there will be any T.V. coverage out side of Brazil.Sounds like it would be a great race.

More pics

I'm at the hotel right now (free internet). Had some beers with some people including Karl Wendlinger himself. I remember when he used to drive for Sauber. He's a very friendly person, and seems to be enjoying to have the chance to drive again at Interlagos.

By the way, JF Racing won't have any cars on the race ( This has something to do with more costs this year, since we'll have 2 new drivers on the Stock Car V8 and that we are going to have a car on the Stock Car Light, for the first time. Anyway, i'll be on the track the whole weekend and of course i'll be on the track for the race.

More pics as soon as i find them on Brazilian site / message boards

Enjoy it Johnny, and thanks for the pics!

Edit: WTF is a VW Gol doing among all those supercars? Is the race divided into categories?
