The 3:12 lap looks fake asss not saying it is or illegal but haven't we taken away the REAL essance from this driving simulator..
Correct me if I'm wrong it just don't look right

Blame the specs for making the cars be able to go that fast then.
Or the rules allowing us to use Super Soft tires.
Or PD for allowing the cars to have that much grip.
Or the driver for being just that good to set that fast lap.
...etc., etc.

3:14.8 was fastest lap in race back in 2017, only problem that I see is custom gearboxes in GTS. Real cars have mostly fixed gearboxes and there are some ratios that can be achieved, however in GT series, you can customize gearbox ratios in 0.001 fashion, which is so expensive in real world that basically it is not possible. And of course tire does a lot to the fact that people were using RSS tires for qually in this event, and it is a bit questionable how real (how unreal) tire model is in GTS.

So 2.3 sec off real world for 13+ km track is not that off... and of course ideal conditions in game vs reality...

Cheers...

Don't get me wrong it takes some skill to get that fast and I do applaud the fastest times,
But with the sensitivity of the steering wheel turned right up so the slightest touch is half a turn, to me looks unreal just on the lmp1 cars

Not saying anyone is cheating or is fake it just doesn't look like it does on the TV..

Much love though

Up until the most reason times, there was not a peep.

Not.

A.

Peep.

I stand by what was said before in my own way.

Someone didn't expect the top guys to break 15s on RSS in quali trim when these regulations were made.

Clearly there is 2-3 seconds that wasn't accounted for on merit, but also consider that IRS BoP has 2 of 3 LMP cars lighter than IRL...

Those top P1 times were set with compounds essentially at least 1, maybe even 2 compounds softer than what was set by the top guys IRL.

It should also be noted that these times were set with fuel/tire deg off. Of course they were gonna set blisteringly fast times.

I do understand that it's a game, yes but its modeled on a a real life driving simulator, that's why I love this game because everything about it is realistic,,,
My opinion is that for some reason the characteristics (or the flow)of the cars that qualified 1 2 3 etc look different to the to the characteristics of the cars that qualified 6 7 8 etc.

Is it a better more expensive rig?
Is it the sensitivity of the steering turned up?
Or is it the fact that the ps4 cannot keep up with the speeds they go around corners..

Just a question to why it looks so different really

Cheers

Hate to say it but driver experience plays a BIG part in this not to mention they might have a great tune

because everything about it is realistic,,,
Besides what Herimopp and Ace just said, you're already looking at this the wrong way because the game is certainly not realistic about everything.

Pole position isn't even that important in a race like this anyway.

Soo what is the final word on track limits?
Is the white line considered track limit?
Or is the kerb the limit? I ask because I was spectating fellow racers and seem that the kerbs get abused a ton. So if the white line is limit then surely we are committing a penalty. Please clarify.
