Well, I just did some testing. I used Monza with all settings the same as race settings. I used AI drivers to remove any car bias or driver inconsistency.
BMW 2:00.458(Stock tuning)
GTR 2:02.026(stock tuning)
Aston 2:03.678(stock tuning)
Merc 2:03.788(stock tuning)
R8 2:04.411(stock tuning)
NSX 2:05.576((Fully tuned with a tune from one of the top guys in this series)
Well at least now I know it was mostly the car. I know I’m not as fast as the top guys in here, but I also know I’m not 3s a lap slower either.
I assumed with a custom BoP the cars would have been more evened out I guess. Maybe I’ll try the Nissan, I’ll do some more testing before making a decision.
Edit: 3 laps in the BMW(stock tuning) bested my best NSX time from last night by 2 full seconds to a 48.6 around Monza, the best I could sqeeeze out of the NSX last night was a 50.5, even in Q. 1.6s off the top times from last night is much more normal for me though, I feel better now that I know it was the car that was the problem. Now to see if I can make the Nissan do anything close to that.
Edit: After a few laps in the Nissan GTR(stock tuning) I got the Monza time down to 48.1(Optimal of 47.8), I guess I’ll have to go with this car, it’s 2.5s a lap faster than the Honda. That’s a 2 minute and 5 second difference over 50 laps lol.
