I definitely plan on running a practice race before next Friday to figure out my strategy and how long tires feel comfortable. As fuel lowers the lap times so pretty close to optimal but there's a point where any slight mistake may make the tires loose and collecting it takes up so much time.

Id like to sign up as a reserve if possible
Team name: R-Sport
PSN ID: WanganGhost
Car Choice: Nissan GT-R
Car Number: #7
Primary Sponsor: Calsonic
Welcome! Assuming you will run a classic blue Calsonic livery, we'll have three replica liveries on hand. Of the BMWs, one is an M1 Art Car livery and the other is a V12 LMP livery.

By now everyone knows about "Nissan" actually being the Japanese words for 2 and 3 put together, right? heading in for the night. I'll reply in the morning when I can.

You're more than welcome to change cars if you feel that is necessary. I never want someone to leave because they feel a car isn't competitive. Please try another car before officially retiring. :)

That’s the thing I don’t know if it’s me or the car, I assume it’s mostly me lol. I just didn’t want to ruin the season for another person who could still get all but 1 race in is all. I’ll do some testing with other cars this week if that’s what you’d prefer though, thank you.

My PS4 went highwire so I won't be attending anything in next 2-3 weeks up until I get it back... It happened last night while I was setting car and testing for Monza... @DesertPenguin srry for not saying anything earlier, I was pissed a lot...

Well, I just did some testing. I used Monza with all settings the same as race settings. I used AI drivers to remove any car bias or driver inconsistency.

BMW 2:00.458(Stock tuning)
GTR 2:02.026(stock tuning)
Aston 2:03.678(stock tuning)
Merc 2:03.788(stock tuning)
R8 2:04.411(stock tuning)
NSX 2:05.576((Fully tuned with a tune from one of the top guys in this series)

Well at least now I know it was mostly the car. I know I’m not as fast as the top guys in here, but I also know I’m not 3s a lap slower either. I assumed with a custom BoP the cars would have been more evened out I guess. Maybe I’ll try the Nissan, I’ll do some more testing before making a decision.

Edit: 3 laps in the BMW(stock tuning) bested my best NSX time from last night by 2 full seconds to a 48.6 around Monza, the best I could sqeeeze out of the NSX last night was a 50.5, even in Q. 1.6s off the top times from last night is much more normal for me though, I feel better now that I know it was the car that was the problem. Now to see if I can make the Nissan do anything close to that.

Edit: After a few laps in the Nissan GTR(stock tuning) I got the Monza time down to 48.1(Optimal of 47.8), I guess I’ll have to go with this car, it’s 2.5s a lap faster than the Honda. That’s a 2 minute and 5 second difference over 50 laps lol.

The only problem with ai is consistency they brake a different point every lap and there lines are terrible

But they are fairly consistently bad though, so the difference between cars still shows, just in slower lap times. All AI laps were within 3 tenths of their best lap for each car tested, I let them do 5 laps each.

When I tested myself the results were very similar, just with faster lap times. :)

Would you like us to also look into the BOP for the NSX? If you told us sooner that it felt off pace we would definitely have looked into it before the race

That would be up to you guys, it’s your series. I’m not it any way looking for any special treatments here, I’m no different than anyone else involved, that’s why I was just gonna bow out because I didn’t want to take a spot away from someone who could actually be competitive with you guys. I do like the car, I kind of just assumed it was my driving that was the cause before, that’s why I hadn’t mentioned it. It would be nice to stay with the Honda but it really doesn’t matter to me, I just want to race and have fun is all. :)

I'm in Honda as well, but it is hard for me to tell if the BOP needs adjusting. I am only changing gearing for myself because I dont want to change the driving dynamics between this series and FIA races. At the Catalunya test, I was a bit off the pace but assumed it was related to tuning differences. Like @Pigems said, I will leave it up to the series organizers to determine BOP adjustments

from my observation in regards to BoP, i conclude why not just use the FIA BoP? it's not the best for tuning but it could be a good base.
Unfortunately the game's BOP spec is not very even among all the cars. We have been working with our chief engineer @Herimopp89 to fine tune the BOP and ensure everyone has a fighting chance no matter what car they pick.
