IRS GT4 Championship Season 3 - Pro Champ - Timlour, Pro-Am Champ - Clean Racer

Race broadcast is nice but you missed the entire battle between Ace, Moby, and myself from laps 4 through 8

I am open to criticism and helpful tips but after watching the Broadcast I just have to note that there were actually 3, if not more, battles going on simultaneously at that time.

You had the leaders running nose to tail - @R1600Turbo @Timlour @Mopwr and LilChickenNugget

We also had the pack just behind that duking it out - @DesertPenguin @Moby45 and @aceboy127

With myself being hotly pursued by @GTP_Guido - excellent race Guido!

We also had @Whitey093 recovering from his off (Great job to recover from that and finish 9th) and johnnyg_91 also trying to recover from early problems.

I thought I did well. That being said I don't think I'll ever be able to cover one group of cars for a 4 lap period early in the race like that. I do think it's a good idea for you guys to give me some insight before I start the recordings.

I'll continue to try and improve.

A few off the top of my head were @Mopowr and his move in T1 lap 1 to get 2nd, followed by him taking the lead when I goofed in the first chicane. @Whitey093 's incident that @Timlour was a bystander for (this actually happened on screen during the broadcast but was missed, not sure on the lap) and @bigbeefytaco 's pass for 2nd with a lap to go.

I'll definitely watch the replay after each race and take notes. 👍

I dont know if we necessarily need to highlight my little screw up haha. That was all me right when I was about to turn I saw tim peek inside in my mirror and I hesitated long enough to blow that whole chicane. He didn't go for it he just tucked back in which I should have expected but for some reason I wasn't sure and hesitated. It's a game of inches people, hit your marks.

So after this season I am going with a V8 car or a V10 car. Lol I am all over people in the turns only to have them pull away from me while I am drafting them. The next race should be a good one though. My only worry is fuel mileage. Tires seemed to hold up decently well.

There is a tie for the lead. This is awesome but creates an issue for the Starting Grid at Catalunya - How do we award Pole for that race?

I think the determining stat should best best finishing positions up to this point. So by that metric @R1600Turbo would get the Pole for our Endurance Event at Catalunya.

Another issue: My plan was to start the Endurance events at 8:30pm. Being that there is no qualifying we could be done by 10pm. The problem with that start time? - not everyone can make it at that time. We have started all previous races at 9pm. What time do you guys want to start the race?

Same start time otherwise I will be 30mins late and you will have to restart the race and then put me on pole.


Maybe since they are tied for the moment, last seasons champ should get the choice of spot. Like motocross.

One thing I noticed is the Aston's wing is ridiculously small compared to all the other cars. I don't know if the car has less aero because of it or it has no impact but interesting to see.

It's based of of that particular years regulations and bop. That is why it is much smaller, the rules were slightly different when that Aston GT4 car was debuted. Check out the new Aston GT4 race car and you will see a difference.

I cannot start any earlier ever. Bath and bed for the kids is between 7 and 8 central so the absolute earliest I could ever logon to play would be 8 central. If the endurance races must start earlier that's fine, I'll just catch the sprint races.

It's looking like 9pm Eastern works best. We would still be done 10pm Central. Remember - there is no quali so that saves us a lot of time.

The Castrol Tom's Supra team was spotted testing at Barcelona early in the morning getting ready for the first endurance race for the GT4 Championship. With the car still down on power they are aiming to make the most in Barcelona due to the tracks more even layout. The team was also spotted with a special livery for the race. A team engineer was heard saying it is their "negative livery". The next race could be shaping up to be better for Castrol Tom's and Toyota in the championship.
