IRS Superbug Series Season 2 | Noir and CWM are your back-to-back champions!

Anyone care to share their setups? I'm so used to driving cars stock and taking them as they are, but if there's something to change that will instantly help out I'd be willing to try it out.

As much as I hate to say it, I will not be attending tonight's event. After all the frustration of last weekends event WITH practice, I don't even want to attempt tonight with zero practice.

Bathurst is tricky for everyone, you never know what you might get so might as well be there. Who knows, you might just end up scratching the Fuji race off as your drop if you do better here.

It's not so much the track as it is the setup. I'm also extremely tired. Been getting up at 3:30 A.M. And getting home at 9 pm for the past week.

Don't think I am going to make it tonight. I'm spending some time with my parents and I don't think I will be back in time. Hope everyone has a great race tonight and good luck to all who are attending.

I take it you're feeling better? 👍

Standings have been updated! Barring any incident reports in the next 24 hours, these will be considered final.

Noir extends Drivers standings lead, with Whitey and herimopp moving up after a good weekend for White Lightning Motorsports, which also sees them continuing to stretch the lead in the Teams standings. The order gets shaken up in the Independents, with DesertPenguin finding himself on top of the standings after GentlemanRacing missed Race 1, Eleven-Seven is still real close in 2nd, however, one good weekend from either of these three drivers can alter the order again.

Next week, we're at Catalunya, one of the more technical Grand Prix circuits in the calendar. The event also marks IRS' first race in the circuit, and we're expecting a much more packed field.

I'm going to a comedy show next Saturday so I don't think I'll be able to make it to the race. Consider that my drop score.

Last night was an absolute disaster for me personally I wrecked on the first lap of both races and lost an incredible amount of time...still I didnt have any thing close to the pace of @Antares26 and @Whitey093 hats off to both of you...had a great race considering

We could always discuss success ballast for the podium finishers to balance things out as the season progresses.
It could be a good option, but I know it can be a pain to monitor it all as well. Might have to see what @Antares26 thinks about it first, as it is his series.

Just a suggestion. One thing with ballast though is it doesn’t make fast drivers less consistent and consistency is what separates most of us. It may close the gap on fast laps but the fast guys will hit that time every lap while the slower drivers still have peaks and valleys which ultimately is the big differentiater.

There should be a penalty for winning 4 races in a row, either that or there should be a penalty for being Noir.

You do realize who wr are racing against don't you? Lol

Also weighing in on the power reduction closing the field up, hate the burst your bubble but that will not close the gap to Antares. Whitey came close to beating him at Bathurst, I was able to almost match him at Fuji but he had me on top end by like 10mph.

The only way any of us will beat Antares (without dirty tactics) is to out drive him or out tune him, most likely both.

To add, Antares has a lot of seat time against alien GT Sport drivers, after a while you pick up what they are doing to beat you and you end up getting faster. Trust me I know this from first hand exsperience racing in other series and being around my faster teammates at SSE, it takes a lot of laps to get faster, then tuning multiplys that.

In other news, I'm fairly comfortable with the car for Barcelona after about 100 miles of testing last Sunday. But still think there is more time to be found. Last sector is going to be the lap breaker for most.

I've been considering ballast, to be fairly honest with y'all.

What I have in mind is that the top 3 scorers for each race weekend gets ballast to be applied only for the next weekend, so the same amounts of ballast only gets passed around. And by ballast I mean power limiting rather than weight, since it seems to have a much more profound effect, especially with the bugs being high powered.

1st gets -4% power
2nd gets -3% power
3rd gets -2% power

I'm more than willing to do this right away, but I wanna know first if everyone's gonna be fine with it (then again, you probably are).

Ughh yea I think that your ballast should be doubled just messing around sounds like a good idea
