IRS | Toyota 86 Racing Series | Mondays 9p EST | BIG FINALE TONIGHT: Dragon Trail - Seaside II

it was actually pretty good because if you are in the pack i feel like you are a little bit slower because of trying to be cautious of everything around you. in the first race I did, I got tangled up pretty bad in t1 no big deal 8 seconds behind in the 3 laps we ran i closed the gap to within 3 seconds.

That was my fault. I was on the inside trying to pass for first and slide up a bit into your door.

I think the guys with wheels will have a big advantage on this track because they can hold their lines through the large turns easier.
I was in a league that raced it one week and there was a huge discussion about controller vs wheel because of Turn 1. Sweepers/long radius turns are where wheel users have a greater advantage because we can make more minute adjustments mid-corner while keeping it smooth. With a controller you have complete lock from left to right literally at your fingertips so it's harder to get it exactly where you want, hold it, and then have to adjust on the fly. Knowing who is on a controller will help because we can give you a little extra room.

Thats the issue i had. I had the inside line in turn 1 but when i got a little to low i tried to adjust and i hit herimopp

Attendance Confirmation

We have 17 drivers so we need to have everyone confirm if they are attending or not. Since we're only one driver over it's more that we just need one to confirm that they won't attend and we know if everyone else does then we're at a full room of 16. No rush, but at the latest try to let us know a few hours before racing starts and not as we're about to begin Race 1.

Keep enjoying the holidays and hope to see most of you tomorrow night!

If i can get back into the 2:05 range by tomorrow I'll be thrilled.
You'll get there sooner than you think. A great tip is to put a thin strip of white tape at the top center of the rim. It's not exact but keep it in your peripheral vision through turns and you'll notice it points in the direction you are going. Work with that to learn how much to turn the wheel (also known as steering angle/lock) and you'll get much smoother with your inputs.

Quick announcement, and random at that.

Circuit de la Sarthe and Nurburgring Nordschleife are allowed to be selected but be aware they will run slightly longer than usual. A lap at La Sarthe hovers around 5 minutes so they'll be three lap races while the Nordschleife will be two laps close to 9 minutes each. The 24H Layout will add roughly 2 minutes to that, so it would be three ~20 minute races. I don't want to deter anyone from making this selection. This is just so you know what the format will be for these three tracks. I haven't tested all of the St. Croix varients yet but the B Course would be 4 laps. Considering it's the shortest I'm going to say the A and B Courses will be 3 laps.

New post for new notification for everyone to see.

I will have a practice lobby up tomorrow afternoon. Anyone around tonight though? I know it's Christmas and a little late but who's got the kids asleep already?
