I haven't been on gt6 for a long time now, today I was bored and got it out the box.
My memory is awful I mean really awful, So I was surprised at seeing I had gold on all the races including S-Class.
I then delved further and realised I hadn't completed the red bull challenge or that daft moon race.
I also noticed I have bronze on the Senna last race so that was the one I sought to rectify first.
So is GT6 a good game or not? I vote EH Maybe it passes a few hours and it's fun which I suppose that's what a game is for, If you're the type of player who wants to gold everything then No it isn't a good game it's a frustrating game when on the Redbull and Senna challenges.
Overall it's ok it does what it says on the tin.
After 20mins on that Senna last challenge I remembered why I stopped playing it. I cannot get near the time, bronze is my best. I sacked Senna and went Redbull the one with 5 races 10mins later gave up, can't get anywhere near 6th one race last all the others, I have now started to download the updates to the game instead of ignoring them.
I haven't updated my game for going on 12 months, Is it a good update and worth having a stab at????
I am sure it is posted somewhere I just couldn't find it.

I still love it. It is not like some other racing game if you want to race hard with AI (except nascar, karts or RB cars which are very competitive) or want to hear good sounds. But gfx, gameplay, content wise it is great and probably the best game to play
I find game play the weakest aspect of GT6. Without good AI, you simply can't have good game play because you can't have a competitive race straight up with a similar car. What'a left is hotlapping and TT's, both of which are not unique to GT, and are done better elsewhere as well.

I still love GT! Don't get me wrong, it has its fatal flaws, but there is a quirky charm to the game that I like. Part of it is the nostalgia of the game, since I grew up wasting weekends on GT4 and blasting away in whatever I could upgrade. What I love about it is the vast car choice. Even if there are a good handful of mirror cars (GT-Rs come to mind), they still are different in subtle ways. The graphics may not be flashy or next-gen, but I can make out everything on the track and car, and the contrast is good! Car colors are done pretty well, too. Sound? Meh, but I'm profoundly deaf so that part doesn't bother me.

While it may be a meh game, GT6 still has a place in some of our hearts.
