is having an aerobat (wing), etc necessary?

I'm more of a form over function guy, and i really dislike putting big wings on my car. I was curious is there a way to tune the car so that it can perform like it would with a big wing or aerobat installed? Or is having an aerobat necessary in making your car perform better?

It really depends on the car and what you are using it for.

I have installed wings on 4 of my 200 cars. One of them was because there's a wing on the real life car I used as a model. The other cars performed better with a wing.

But, I don't like adding wings.

Installing wing is the only way above certain speeds i think. With the lower speed cars the wing isn't that wital as aerodynamic downforce really comes to play only in higher speeds.
