Is it possible to tune a Porsche so that it doesn't drive like a total idiot?

Because at the time I posted this there was a weird glitch like thing going on with the ride height. I don't even know if it was fixed yet or not.
A bunch of people here found the same results as I did when testing (back then). Basically having like a 105/100 or something like that seemed to give better turn ins and grips on corners, ect.
Like I said, I don't know if they patched that or fixed it yet. But it worked at the time.
Thanks, I wasn't aware of that. I tried some Praiano tunes with higher fronts that control much better, so maybe it's still not fixed yet. I thought maybe there was some physics effect that I wasn't grasping.

I love Porsches and have done hundreds of miles in all of them using all of the different tunes out there. I would recommend checking out Morsonkey’s 993 RS CS tune. It’s wonderfully predictable once you get used to it.

Whatever it is, it "shouldn't" be that way.
But we take it as it comes, lol.

Lots of weird little things that they hopefully fix soon. The way driving in the rain and any tires below sport soft work, this game makes me feel like I'm a professional driver in the real world. The lack of grip, in general, is pretty astounding.

On top of the physics and tuning issues, simple things, like livery editing and online lobby features that worked in GTS, are oddly broken or missing.

And how intermediate racing slicks have the same exact handling as sports soft.
When the Intermediates are almost twice as wide, lol.
Hell, the game even rates them both at the exact same PP level, you can switch back and forth without losing or gaining a single PP.
Yeah, there's a few things that need to be altered if matching real life is the goal, lol.

Some tuning for Taycan for book 30 (650PP)?
I think it's better choice since 911 is dancing like he wants...
Everyone ignored this....

I used the Taycan for book 30. Installed the well priced upgrades & weight reduction and then used ECU & Power restrictor to get back to 650PP. NOTE after the upgrades, it was not directly possible to get under 651PP, so I had to add some ballast. It was fantastic to drive and easily pulled past all the other cars in the corners.... BUT (and that's a big but) it has less top speed on the long back straight and unfortunately there's no way to change the gearing in the EV. You will lose around 3 seconds on the straight, so you will need to be at least 3s ahead of p2 before the straight to take the win. If needed, you can block like a mad man.

This is still an easy win, if you keep the car on the track throughout the lap, which of course, takes practice at maximum speed...

I used the Taycan because...
1. I already had it
2. The other Porches have horrible handling
3. I thought it would be faster (wrong)
4. Some chance of using it in future races on full pp, having spent the cash (refer point 2)

The "auto" trans took some getting used to, and the strange silence/acceleration hum, but I actually find it awesome to drive and I really like the 4wd aspect combined with the super smooth EV pull. Just like in the real world, the EVs kick ass, but feel a little strange.

I spent a little money getting it good.
Full downforce front and back.
200 ballast at -50 (making the balance 48/52). (This is important.)

I didn't bother with an LSD computer because I found it wasn't needed. I planned on using it for those 3 races and thats it, the one it came with is fine.
Hight/springs I grabbed only the SPORTS adjustable. And only did that so I could lift the front a little higher then the back.

With the 3 weight reductions, the 200 to ballast isn't a big deal. And more importantly puts the weight where it needs to be (48/52).
That worked for me.

THANK YOU!!!!
it's like driving a different car, I hated it and now I'm impressed with it!

Yes, it's very possible. Porsche's are certainly a tough beast to break and they can be quite wild but when all of that power and energy are properly harnessed.. Great things happen. I accidentally used one of Praiano's Porsche builds (GT3 RS (991) '16) on the wrong Porsche (Porsche 911 997.2 GT3 RS ’09) but it ended up turning into a true beast at 648pp. Super quick, agile, and sticks to the track like glue with a very responsive handling. Easily became one of my favourites to drive after dominating the porsche cup!

Using a ds4, hard AI, no assists, manual, abs default

I have been messing around with the same car tonight... seems like once you get all the jedi settings right... the car no longer turns... it just
rotates (which is actually kinda neat.. balanced on a pin... -8:00 lap at nurburg 600pp

I was driving this machine tonight and wonderful things happened.... happened across some good settings.
nothing out of this world, just going for a little oversteer, and all of a sudden Ive got the piece of **** balanced
on a pin.. Like no-****.. the car doesn't turn in corners.. (it rotates) pick an apex--any apex---any one you
want.. I just sling it in there and there she goes. I can even tighten up my line while i'm on the power.. it's nuts.
if i'm overcoming gravity's ability to hold me down of course i'll eat ****, but....if I'm cornering at a speed somewhere
near reality, but too hot, the car will still rotate, but my tires (tyres for you euro folk) will break traction ..all together
---all at once-- so it just slides a bit... pour on more power, and I point it where I want to exit. Out of all the 911 stuff
I have ever had..in ALL the GT games.. this one is by far the best, and I don't know exactly what it is that made it so damn
good... i wish I did.. I'd do it to all my machines. for now ...it is an absolute mystery.. all I know is at 700pp.. there is no
possible way to use racing soft... it turns the car into this crazy missile with poor guidance.. slightest input on the steering
and you sir are changing zip codes. my fastest times came on sport hard believe it or not. probably just a lucky mistake,
but I'm keeping the baby....

The game gave me a 911 GT3 (996) '01 and said "go do a lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife in the rain and I'll give you another Porsche", naturally my first response to this was "no thanks" but it turns out I have to do it. I've put an aero kit on it, SS tyres, no weight reduction and enough small power mods to bring it up to 650pp with some downforce added, but it's just ridiculously nervous, sometimes spinning with very little provocation, sometimes just spearing off the road for no discernible reason and even though I've done probably a million hours on the Nordschleife in my life I finished 6th on my first go.

I hate 911s and I have so far refused to drive them in any game, the engine is in the wrong place for a car that makes that much power, so maybe I should just get a Cayman? Wait, what do you mean there aren't any? This really might be as far as I get with GT7's campaign mode, I have no patience or interest in driving these stupid things.
Hi there, let me know which Porsche you would like to drive and I will set it up for you so you can drive without being nerves about spinning off the track. Henrik

I appreciate the offer but the solution I came up with was to stop playing the game!
