Is it Software or Hardware problem?

It's about a year now, that sometimes the game (or the console?) behaves quite oddly.
In the last couple of months, it's happening very often and it's extremely annoying!
7 out of 10 times that I want to play, I end up pissed off...

I'll try to explain with the help of two videos and some photos.
When I start racing, what I see isn't stable. It's like someone is shaking the tv or the camera through which I see my playing.
What I mean it's quite clear when pause is pressed (beginning of the second video) .
It's like I see everything trembling and from different angle. In chase view mode I don't see the car from behind but from the side!!!
When I press brake, it's like someone suddenly rotates the picture horizontally (about 50-60 degrees). It's not very clear in these videos.
Needless to say, after a couple of minutes of playing like this, I get quite nauseous. Because the orientation is far from natural, the brain reacts to the abnormal angles, I suppose.
Before I even start racing, I know that it's happening again from cursor's displacement (picture 1).
When I put the cursor on a car (picture 2) or on a track/event (picture 3), it's not stable but it's moving slowly to the left.

Sometimes the game starts quite normally but after a while it gets crazy.

So, what do you think?
Software or hardware problem?
Anyone with the same problem?
My console is PS4 Pro.

Are you playing with a controller or wheel?

On the controller, the left stick is by default set to Camera Control. And it also controls the pointer in menu screens.

There might be some issues with your controller, try switching it to another one or changing the left thumb stick assignment.

@Sakinen

Turn off camera rotation in the game menu on the right stick. Had the same issue because especialy the first gen ps5 controller had a lot of stickdrift and were to sensetiv (no deadzone). The rumbel and youre own steering input cause the right stick to move a bit.
Now i have the edge controller and set a good amount of deadzone, so it want happen anymore.

Classic analog sticks drift. It happens on all (at least last gen)....Sony, Microsoft, even Nacon (=garbage) controllers.
Same for the triggers, and also happens with some pedal sets.

Right now it happens on my relatively new DS4 left stick. The cursor moves on its own and I have to make some weird moves to make it stop.

They have to change this awful technology.

I agree with above. Definitely looks like your controller is giving input to the game to move the cursor/camera. Doesn’t seem like a software issue and wouldn’t be a console hardware issue if it only happens in GT7.
Most likely stick drift. I know you‘re on PS4 but I’m already on my 3rd DualSense controller because of stick drift and I’m not hard on my controllers and play less than average probably.

Sony should give the seperate controller menu thats tied to the edge controller free for all controller. That would solve a lot of problems. At least the strickdrift option. Or Pd build in an option like Kojima in death stranding.

I’m not positive because I don’t have that controller but the Edge will likely have the same stick drift issues as other PS controllers, the only upside is you can replace the individual sticks for $20 a piece instead having to buy an entire new controller for $75.

he means deadzone option to deal with stick drift if you got any because on regular dualsense you cant do that
