Haven't done a poll in a while on the "Drifting and Other Motorsports." I've heard rally racers curse like sailors (unless we have sailors on GTPlanet who have a foulmouth problem), I've seen a prototype incident which brought out a black flag for one of the P1 machines, and countless other incidents. But NASCAR's success is on crashing and drama rather than climbing through the pack to win a race. You have a guy who calls himself "Mister Excitement," when he p*ssies out of road races (not so exciting after all, I guess). You know, races that prove you're a MAN or a WOMAN (that is, for lady racers who daresay challenge male racers). Paul Tracy kind of softened up, but Tony Stewart (a.k.a. "Smoke") and company prove that you have to be aggressive to win. But that's just because NASCAR is bumper car racing, just that you don't have to go to your local carnival or fairground to play around. Hell, I raced at formerly-called "Davy Jones Kartzone," and people banged the **** out of me and my kart. And that can't even compare to the banging in NASCAR. I typed this thing around 6:30 Central Daylight Time, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Tony Stewart face Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Championship. So the question I have to ask you is...

"Is NASCAR the most aggressive motorsport in the world?"

Vote now on the poll for (A) Agree Strongly, (B) Agree, (C) Neutral, (D) Disagree, or (E) Strongly Disagree. It lasts for two weeks, so go for it.

I disagree. I think karting may be one of the most aggressive motorsports in the world. Nascar may have a lot of crashes, but I don't think it's too aggressive.

In NASCAR it does. But in aggresivness as in racing I think lower categories like the V8 Brutes in Australaia would take that title. Tehy're so amature:lol:

The Rally crashes are usually enjoyable because they have to bleep out all the profanity the racers mutter.... Incidentally, they seem to get tons of traffic tickets because they ignore red lights!!
I don't remember what r type of racing it was but... I saw two cars fighting for pole position in the worst manner of way ever! They didn't want to give up an inch so they exchanged paint and rubber for a couple dozen seconds.. 👍

Hahaha the V8 Brutes are very aggressive, they don't mind breaking late into a corner and forcing eachother to the outside and whatnot. And especialy in V8 Utes with soo little weight holding the rear down there is plenty of room for chaos.

NASCAR, I dont think is too aggressive, very fast and causes crashes.....

WRC, i think that the type of aggressive driving is seen differently, coz they are racing the clock so to speak, not each other.....

V8 Brutes, now there is a aggressive motorsport, those guys are out ofcontrol on most race weekends, they are fantastic!!

But I would have to say that the British Touring cars has to be most aggressive motorsport that I have seen over the last few years, those guys must think that they are on the track all by themselves, they take the race line that they want, regardless of who else is there, it's great!

Them d00d's turning left do curse like sailors.. Cause I daytona.. Dale Earnhardt Jr was swearing like a mutha****a to the press interviewing Tony Stewart when I was at the Rolex 24 Hours back in Febuary.

NASCAR's Nextel Cup can't compare to some of the other series out there like USAR and ASA, those guys are nuts.

Although, there is enough agressiveness to make things interesting, especially so at Bristol, Martinsville and Richmond 👍 :mischievous:

I feel that because of the full body cars, the drivers are more prone to lean on each other than in other North American motor sport. So in that way, they are more agressive. As to b-lls to the wall late braking and intimidating of other drivers,I have to go with karting.Nothing can out brake a kart at speed.

I would suggest that the smash up derby at the local fair is the most aggressive form of motorsport I've seen. ;)

Otherwise, any number of Touring Car series are pretty aggressive, and involve more bumping then most NASCAR races.

I think the MotoGP is deffinatly one of the most agressive motorsports. Theres almost a new race leader every 3-5 laps.

Especially in the 125's. It's always entertaining to see riders leaning on eachother at 160km's on the straight.

I don't think it's aggresive, the type of racing they do keeps the cars in their proximity and are just more likely for **** to go down.

Off topic, my view is Nascar is one of the most boring motorsports. (this coming from someone who is more interested in the driving than the accidents)

I hate it that some idiotic drivers like Tony Stewart **** up the sport with their retarded driving... 👎

Anyway, i think any touring car series is very agressave. I was at Sears Point this weekend watchign the Speed TC series, that was very exciting, very very agressave drivers.Eather that or karting.

70 MPH to 20 mph in less than a second, one hand on the airbox choking the motor, left hand correcting oversteer, rear wheels locking up, finding your apex. Very exciting, and thats just the JICA (Junior ICA) class. ICA must be going 90, and dooing the same stuff.

Agreed. Right now the three 'S-Words' in NASCAR are Stewart, Sauter and Spencer...

Paul Tracy kind of softened up.

i dont know about that, if anyone saw the toronto champcar race couple of weeks back would disagree to that statement

i dont think nascar is the most aggressive series in the world, perhaps motogp WSBK or most soughts of touring car racing

Yeah, Paul is still agressive -- almost dangerous. Tags is often agressive but not in a shove you off the track kind of way.

Didn't read all of your comments, but I'd like to say that Touring Car racing is probably the most aggressive that I have seen. They really hold grudges on that. But many of you won't see it because it's usually only shown on Speed TV. Also, MotoGP is pretty ****ing aggressive as well. When someone hits their back tire, and both fall of, they fight sometimes. Crazy ****.

Nascar is boring to watch anyways.

actually, come to think of it, one of the most aggressive forms of motorsport is formula ford. young guys in little speed machines trying to advance their careers, now that is pretty aggressive.

So based on the poll results, the majority of you all voted that NASCAR is NOT the most aggressive motorsport in the world. I would think that with all the bump drafting, temper flares, and such that NASCAR would be more aggressive than most other motorsport. But apparentely, I'm a humanistic thinker, so if it is perfectly fine to disagree. Thank you all for your participation. If anyone hasn't already, why not talk about why NASCAR is NOT the most aggressive motorsport?
