Is there a way to force AI choose tyres in QF session?

It's weird the ai cars I'm using in a championship season qualifying are selecting correct qualifying tires for most tracks but they choose soft compound (S) instead of (Q) for Hockenheim and Spa and are about 5 seconds too slow and ruin the realism. What could be the reason for this? Do they choose slower tyre compound because Hockenheim and Spa are longer tracks?

Is there a way to force them to use QF tyres?

I unpacked the data already. Is there something in tyres.ini that I should look for adjust for each car?

Are these values meaningful?

I actually figured it out. After unpacking the data I found out that the file ai_tyres.ini had these values

[Q]
MAX_KM=17

[SS]
MAX_KM=20

Spa and Hockenheim are longer tracks so the 17 km limit was exceeded (if the cars make 2 QF laps). I just increased the value to 25 and now the ai cars choose Q tires automatically. Problem solved.
