Is there a WOW factor?

I am relatively new to gaming on the PS3 compared to some of the members here on GTPlanet. I was hooked when I first played GT4. GT4 blew me away, I never knew that race sims had evolved to that extent. Then GT:P amazed me even more, coming out of the tunnel on high speed ring, the light blinding you and then slowly being able to see the track again…brilliant.
But, this demo has not given me the same …WOW Factor…. I just hope it is the case that a lot of posters have opinionated and this is a “ cut down” version, and that the finished product will once again give me the “wow” again.

Thanks
steve

This is a GT5 demo, but it's strictly for GT Academy. If there was another GT5 Demo you would understand the WOW factor, but until then, or until the game is released, there is nothing to really give you that WOW as of yet.

Well I think the physics and sound has a little WoW factor IMO, but not much. I was a bit surprise that the graphics is a bit tone down (someone might argue). It's still a great demo and I bet that the real GT5 is going to be 100x better than this in every wow factor you think of. Who wanna bet? J/k. I'm broke right now.

Maybe, just maybe, I might be expecting too much from GT5. It might be the case that I might have to wait for PS4 and GT6. But I really hope that PD raise the bar and set a new target for all there competitors.

First of all IMS is not a very exciting track. Also since the demo's size is around 200mb I would venture to say the visuals are compressed or downgraded. This is NOT what GT5 as a whole is going to look like. Have you seen the TGS demo (gameplay)? The graphics in that are amazing.

and thats off screen.

For me after 350Z acting more nervous than Elise in the demo, I can't imagine how difficult or maybe impossible will be F458 to drive on the limit.

Demo has no WOW effect for me, it rather sucks.

I have heard it feels very planted in FM3, but with the new physics, I think that there is a fine line between holding oversteer and spinning to your death.
