I started with the AE86 (like a lot of other people). It does alright standard, and can be upgraded a fair bit for later races.

A good starting car I feel. :)

I started with the GTR R34 Vspec II N1 because I used the transfer from GT3. If I started again I'd probably buy an S2000 or MX5 so i can enter FR and roadster events. Plus the GTR was a little unfair against the granny cars in the early races.

And...what car would that be???

Well... I started with a Honda Civic type R '97 for 7K Cr. Thats easily enough to win the Sunday Cup without any trouble. With the winnings from a few races buy a Rear Wing for 1200 Cr and a racing flywheel for 900 Cr.

Then enter the Manufacturers' Honda Civic Races where the prize money is 5000 Cr for a win, 2000 Cr for 2nd place where a win isn't difficult or upgrade.

Win all 5 races and you'll win a Mugen Motul Civic Race Car, take that onto the Special Events' Capri Rally Easy for a very easy win in both races and the car you win for that sell for 250,000 Cr and your money worries are over buy anything you want! :)

The thing is that money is never a worry for me, I just have to take my 330i to the european event(forgot which one though, starts with an S and has the letter A at the end). Win the event and i can get a bmw m3 gtr which I can sell for Cr.250,000. So I dont really worry about my money. :)

I'd say so. This car gets really A spec points with family cup on Autumn Ring Mini, just run a family cup and set difficulty to 10 and you'll still run rings round all the supercars! I think I'll turn one of my 86's into a rally car, rwd is the only way to rally.

i still haven't transferred my GT3 credits cuz i think it's so dam cheap. anyhow, i started with buying a car, didn't bother doing licenses cuz i wanted to get in on the racing from day 1. bought a used Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, costed like 9990Cr i think. pretty good, whoop many cars, incluidng Sunday Cup, 4WD, and with a bit of tuning, the Evolution Meeting, Japanese something, lol. really useful car.

If you are transferring 100k from GT3 the car to buy is the HPA tuner. 32k and it will blow the competition away. My personal favorite car is a Spoon S2000 tuner. It's the best handling car in the game. A pleasure to drive right out of the showroom. If you buy a used car don't forget the oil change. When I restarted the game a few months ago I actually started it a few times, trying different things to see how it would do. It actually takes some time and effort to get through the beginner stages because you are scraping money together to this mod or that.

Another way to start is to do the licenses first. Welcome and have fun. Don't forget to surf around in here for all the posts before asking questions. There's a wealth of information here. The search function works very well. Good Luck. :-)

SKYLINE GT-R (R33), 1996

That was my first car with the 100K boost...it actually gives you a bit of a challenge...but if you want to just winwinwin then yes go for the HPA above.

I went same route , but with an older model civic, still have it, it's solid black, winged, and has a set of rims with the little red line around the outside, It's about as nice looking as your gonna make a late model civic look. And she can really hum down the back straights...

Honda 1 make races are a good early source for cash...as well as a great place to learn a bit...

I started with a skyline, I think it was a 88'' RWD if I remember correctly...that thing was fast enough to make the sunday cup boring.

You guys dont get the fact that hes proally beat the game like 5 times now? GIVE IT A BRAKE! This isn't what car you started thread. It's a happy 1 year anniversary! happy B-day Thread! See you next year.

The funniest thing is though, I was actually thinking about this thread this monring. Cause i remember when Kiwi first started it, I was thinking about it all afternoon the day he started. And another wierd thing I remember, I was playing the orignial Call Of Duty Multiplayer! O god, why do i remember the dumbest things, but nothing I need to remember.

You don't need to welcome him here. This thread has been dead before you have been a member. I think he knows about everything you told him. And.. look at the dates before youreply to a thread. it doesn't usually take a person 366 days to figure if a car is good or bad.

O yeah.. sorry for the double post, I was lazy..

It's a year old? heh...holy thread revival batman...

And sorry for the flame...but quit being a total ass half the time M_Y...geezus

I'm just telling whats up... And that people need to pay a little attention. I'm not a ass.. There are true assholes on the forum.

I started with the '85 RX-7 GT-Limited. Good car as a starter. It is one of the 5 cars I own that actually paid for themselves - it costed me around 6000Cr, and won races worth around 150Cr - so it also paid for upgrades. (Other "paid" cars are the Abt TT-r Tourer, the Pescarolo '04 C60, the CLK-GTR, Eclipse '95, and the Cappuchino)
