Is your car in GT4?

ferrari_chris
The '42 is a 'split window' Beetle.

Those are worth mega-bucks in any condition - certainly not the $130 you claim you paid...

💡 Where'd that 'Ludicrous Claim' thread get to?

dude it's probably a rust bucket that barely runs:tup: 👍 👎

My car isn't in GT4. what a shame. sleek, 2 door rwd coupe, red, 4 speed manual..

with blue oval in the grill, 75bhp and 120nm of torque to move 1400KG of rust and dust and consumption is on par with Audi's 4.2l V8.. :ouch: :ill:

yes, it's Ford Taunus/Cortina '82, 1.6 OHC.

Unfortunately, My car isn't in the game. I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback RalliArt Edition :sly:. I do love that car though. The RalliArt edition has a nice loud exhaust system, good bass system, and nice seats :).
Heres some pics (mines red)

15 year olds are allowed to drive in some countries, like here for example.

And here. I had my permit (21 licensed in passenger seat/any time)/ restricted (cant drive after 8 alone/21 licensed in passenger seat post 8pm) at 15. South Carolina...

Mine isn't (1993 Saturn SL with 1.9L 85 hp SOHC engine!). And I am glad it isn't. Maybe if there was car damage in the game I would want it to be in, so I could bash it into things. Oh and I'd have to buy an exhaust upgrade to represent the fact that the muffler is gone.

However, my brother's car IS in the game! Very close, at least. He has a 1990 Toyota Supra with the 7M-GTE engine (3.0L turbo I6). Very similar to the 1988 Supra in the game, although my brother's is white and the '88 is only available in black. There is a 1990 Supra in the game, but it uses the 1JZ-GTE engine which is 2.5L and has twin turbos. The Mk. III Supra is a very heavy car, but it's really fun to drive. I've driven it on a couple of occasions and it really launches you back in your seat if you put the pedal down. His Supra also has an HKS air filter and an aftermarket exhaust, which adds quite a lot of power (turbo cars greatly benefit from opening up the exhaust system).

My dad also has a restored 1968 VW Beetle, which I guess is somewhat similar to the Beetle in the game.

Welcome to GTPlanet, Luca! I must admit, it's refreshing to see a new member who actually knows what they're talking about. :) 👍

Serious? You got one?!

Gotta love those!

Or are you being sarcastic? :scared: :grumpy:

Yeah i got a Celica 89 but i have some engine problems so im gonna park that one and maybe buy Celica T-Sport/GTS or a Corolla TTE Edit! But im gonna keep my forst car! 👍 My sister and brother in law got a Honda Civic Type-R 2001 with Jackson Racing Supercharger (quite fun to drive) and that car is in the game too but with diffrent headlights and taillights

Heh, the feeling's mutual. With Alpine posting so much I was starting to get the impression that everyone here is a 12 year old on Ritalin, but I guess it's mostly just him.

Kinda, the Bora 4-Motion is the closest to mine. I have a 2001 Wolfsburg Jetta. 1.8T, 150 Hp engine, front wheel drive, sport suspension and seats, and a nice set of BBS RX-II's. If you take the wheels of the '01 GTi in GT4 and put them on a BMP Bora, you bassically have my car extrior wise. Except PD fuged the extrior on the Bora as the one in the game is (for America at least) a '04+ with the chrome rub strips and maybe the R/C/R/C taillights. I can't remember what tails are on teh Bora in GT4 though.

Which is also how I felt when I had to drive it up hills; it had no passing power, even downshifting was a joke in that car, it just made more noise. It turns out it had a transmission problem, a valve body failure, and needed an alternator in the space of 6 months. My wife and I were glad to get rid of it.

I'm guessing it's a first car, many of us started out with underpowered machinery. But it teaches you the basics, it's cheap to insure (although SLs aren't really since they're easy to steal/joyride), not to mention, the plastic panels are a great idea when first driving, or in a parking in a neighborhood where others are learning.

Three of the cars you mention, you don't own. The one car you do own isn't in the game.

Are you planning on getting remotely near the point of this thread any time soon? Sheesh. One would think that a question like Is your car in GT4? isn't that hard to understand, but apparently one would be wrong.

Second car, actually. My first was a 1991 Corolla. It was much, much better. The turning circle was small (unlike the Saturn) and it was just peppy enough for daily driving. And it just felt right. Sadly, it died a few months ago (at around 200,000 miles). The Saturn I inherited from my grandmother. She no longer has a license anymore so I got the car on the condition that I have to drive her to the grocery store once a week.

ÄŁPĨЙΣ needs a ban. He's definitely a "post and run" kind of guy, or rather, a "post and post" kind of guy. Rather than reading anything, he just posts and then posts again and then posts again. I wonder if he even realizes that everyone hates his worthless participation or if he just continues to post without reading, oblivious.

I'd hate to see you get some negative attention from the mods, so I just want to let you know -- suggesting or demanding that threads be closed or members be banned is something that isn't exactly smiled upon here at GTPlanet.

I have a feeling that with ALPINE's post history and current situation, your suggestion won't be that big of a deal, but consider this friendly advice for future reference. :)

The moderators here at GTPlanet are very competent and very effective. If you want to report something, just use the "report" button at the bottom of every post, and let the mods take care of it. 👍

My -63 Buick Skylark HT is not "exactly" in GT4, but the -64 Pontiac Tempest comes close enough. A better suspension, a bit lowered, 3.08 diffed rearend, +500hp and in skyline blue w. chrome wheels and I`m allmost there!
The old Buick has a 406cui rollercammed Pontiac eight, replacing the old 215cui aluminium-eight, ready to burn the 225-tires from allmost any speed:crazy:

Yeah, I'm a moderator at another message board and it's frowned upon there too. It was just surprising how many warnings ALPINE has gotten from the mods without any action. I guess I'm a bit more strict in situations like this. But you're right, it's not my place to be telling the mods what to do.

Please do use the Report button any time you see something problematic.

We do have a fairly young crowd here, so we try to be slightly lenient at the very first. If they take the advice and heed the warnings, we've salvaged a potentially productive member. If not, then they continue to run afoul of the staff and they get the ban stick.

We have had several public and private conversations with this member, and he's on notice - or, at least, we've put him on notice. What happens next depends on him.
