Hello and Welcome to my 2-speed spot race, using the Lexus IS-F RM in the top class and the Mazda Roadster TC in the second class.

12th October 2012-8:30 CET/7:30PM BST/2:30PM EST/11:30AM PST
Specs:
Both will be stock via the no-tuning option, I will limit the power just below the stock with oil change BHP if someone has only done free-run online, probably just a 3-4BHP reduction for someone with a broken-in model. Both cars will use Sport Softs.

Track:
Twin Ring Motegi: East Course

Qualifying:
Qualifying will be a 4 lap race for every racer, lap 1 is a warm-up, 2 and 3 are flying laps, and lap 4 is a cool-down, fastest of laps 2 and 3 count toward your qualifying. You need someone to watch your qualifying, qualifying is closed at 6:30BST 12th October, it's open until that date.

Race:
I'll aim to have the room up before 7BST, at 7:25 I'll re-set the room and we will line-up on the track. The race will be 60 laps, the start is a formation lap followed by a standing start, we go around to our grid-slots, which are numbered on this track, I will call a time on the chat (e.g. 3:00) and we go at that time.

Multi-class etiquete:
Roadsters, hold your line and be predictable, it's the Lexus's job to get past you, if you are going to get out of the way, make sure to do it in good time, not right as the Lexus is up behind you. The Mazda is 8 seconds a lap slower, so it should be 11 laps before the lead Lexus laps the lead Mazda.

Settings:
Sport Softs
Real Grip Reduction
Heavy Damage
Fuel use and Tyre Wear on
60 Laps
Mandatory Stop (Not sure how long the tyres will last but both have great tyre wear)

Sounds interesting, the stock roadster TC is like FMSC 3 which I enjoyed so much. So may have a go if time permits in the Mazda.

Damn it, I'm doing an on-campus orientation programme from the 26th to the 29th. :grumpy:

7 in the evening would be good. we could do it later to suit some people if needs be...

I'm not really sure I wanna be doing it on a school-night to be honest as I can come home at 7 O' Clock completely wrecked half the time. Might go for a weekend slot to be honest, could be a few weeks before we have the race but I'll give plenty of notice.

I'm with the early morning thing, so the earlier you run this the better for my time zone? That's PST!

I think I might do this. I like Motegi.

Unsure on which car I would want though.

Won't have an idea for weeks or months mate. Got a lot on right now, sorry.

Edit: Anyone else is free to copy my idea, just make a new thread, as quite honestly, this may never get going, hope it will though.👍

Gah, something has come up, gonna have to cancel this. AGAIN.

Can run series but can never seem to do spot-races.:ouch:

You know what my best friends wedding is Oct 12th so I wont be on that day, plus you and flying fox have conflicting race start dates I believe too.

Right, I'm determined to get this race done, and I should be able to host it on February 2nd at 10GMT, 5PM Eastern, and 2PM Pacific. A series I'm in (GTP Sprint Cup) used that time-slot, but has just finished up, likely for a few weeks, and I'm 100% to be at home that night.
