Full lap with Telemetry! It's amazing how fast these guys go. I beleive that this video is from a practice run, not race and is the Production class , so the bike very similar to there road going counterparts.

I've seen some of this stuff on Motors TV... almost impossible to comprehend how fast they go and how big risks they take for a non-bike rider... one small mistake and it's pretty much instant death.

I have been riding motorcycles for 9 years, and although I would say that I am pretty handy on a bike, I can not comprehend sustaining a pace so close to my limits and that of the environment with so much risk of death and severe injury. I would be happy to give my all on a race track knowing that there are no Lamp posts, walls and trees to hit and with medical help within screaming distance!

The fastest I have ever consistently ridden was through the twist and turns of the Norwegian mountains, and although I was not close to my limits, my riding was fast and at times dangerous and naive of me. We travelled 1000 Kilometres in one day, From Stavanger all the way through Norway to Sweden and without touching a Motorway! The amount of times I nearly overshot hairpin bends with sheer drops below was frightening. It was fun but stupid on occasion due to me having little sleep and riding fast, though it reinforces my respect for the guys that do it at a professional level not for the money but for the experience and challenge of doing It.: up:

I am from Northern Ireland and grew up attending various road races. My father was close firiends with Joey Dunlop, a 26 time TT winner who was sadly killed racing at Tallinn in Estonia in 2000.

The NW200 course is only a few miles from my home and I have never missed a race there. Sadly last year during a practice session Joey Dunlops brother Robert was killed in front of me at mathers cross, probably the most frightening corner on the NW200 course and perhaps in the world.

Despite this, I still love the sport. It is a sport that has the highest adrenaline rush, even as a spectator. Bikes go past you at 180mph+ within a metre of you in places. On the other hand I have known more than five people personally who have been killed.

Despite this I recommend to all to go see something like this if possible. It will blow your mind.

Also have a look for the Ulster Grand Prix. It is raced aroung the Dundrod circuit and is faster than both the TT and NW200 with an average lap speed of over 133mph!
