It just occured to me that the Germans call every car "ein Wagen". And they invented the bloody things...
Because it’s the definition in German, if it has more than one axle and normally four wheels or more, it’s a „wagen“. This is from even before the car, like carriages and stuff, and this is also a „Wagen“😉:

OK. How about "ein Auto"?
Why isn't the Autobahn called the "Wagenbahn" 🤔
Anyway, back on topic... We haven't mentioned biscuits in a while ;)

Have picked up this week's wagon/estate/large thing on 4 wheels.
Also, I like the weeks backstage choice, as there are 2 cars on left I don't have and one on the right, so I'm guaranteed to get something next week :D

I’m not really a fan of the Hide and Seek game mode. I only play it when it’s required for the Weekly Playlist. Today was the first time I played as the Hider, and that’s when I got it. Playing as a Seeker is dull, but playing as a Hider is fun. I won my round, and got a couple of achievements for my efforts.

Both counts, Wagen is just a even broader definition that counts for more kinds of vehicles.
I think it just got carried over from the time when carriages were still the main way of transportation and cars at the beginning were just motorized carriages. A lot of other, more specific terms from the time of carriages are still being used today, like „break“ (also for station wagon), Landaulet, Phaeton, Coupé etc..
But maybe it’s just a thing of language and what we are used to, it sounds just normal to us and fits the object we want to describe with it.
Not directly comparable but the same principle, in English there’s just the term „You“ that gets used for people you are familiar, friends, family, but also people you don’t know, who are older, above you in the hierarchy, who have a more respected standing in society etc.. In German you would never do that, that’s what we have the term „Sie“ for when it comes to the latter, It would be weird in most cases and sound wrong, but in English it sounds just normal and makes sense (for me too), even when the term means exactly the same when translated. I hope it makes sense😅 I think it’s very similar

Yeah, I know. Wagen are just vehicles. VW also made amphibious Schwimmwagen but that didn't make them estate cars.

I've said this before but I really do think it's down to focusing on the "experience" rather than doing anything that could be considered 'unfun'--even if that also creates situations that are 'unfun'. If a Seeker so much as lands a solid ping on the Hider before he gets Chase Breaker'd, the entire team knows exactly where to look for 'em, which means if they mess up even once they're never shaking the Seekers, which isn't fun, I was just on the other end of that myself.

Granted, I do think this was better considered than The Eliminator, because stealth runs are still viable and incredibly satisfying to pull off. But I only played enough to get the Bronco Raptor and left it at that.

Started my new playthrough on my pc. Lost my old account i had for Xbox one,
Fh5 is a completly different beast on pc, have everything maxed out on 4k, and it looks absolutly stunning, huge visual upgrade from Xbox one, some cars even looks on par with gt7 models, some models needs fixing through and i hope some of those can be fixed in fh6 hopefully,

But i forget how bad the progression has become they just throw cars at you,
Would have prefer more how the progresion work in fh1 by far the best story and progression in the series, but after not playing it for almost 2 years, it still enjoyed it,

Maybe for the future pg could let us buy cars thats been exclusive playlist cars,
Many great cars gets missed otherwise for people not playing reguarly.

You know it's bad in FM when your open world sibling builds a track for you that's not even in your game. Not saying I would want Bernese Alps back because that's at the bottom of my track wishlist totem pole but still. All we need now is for somebody to recreate Fujimi kaido full.

Kaido was a faily large track as I recall. Would the EventLab props budget be able to accomodate a track that size without everything looking bland and featureless? Ditto Rally di Positano/Camino Viejo.

It's very well possible though maybe not quite the 10.2 mile version in FM4 but on a smaller scale. Would I tackle a project like that? Nope don't have that much time on my hands lol. But with the detailed and creative tracks some players have come up with, I don't doubt it.

There’s a rather funny thing now in the game regarding car classifications which have always had quite a few quirks since the very beginning.

The new E55 AMG Wagon is a 2006 car and is in the retro saloons category, but the B7 RS4 of the same year is in the modern saloons one

I still can't get over the current-gen SL, a convertible 2+2, being a "Super Saloon."

Yeah, that’s one is real bad, and I’d throw in the ID4 being a hot hatch in there too.

I really hope they rework car classes for the next game cause they are a bit of a mess.

One that really grinds my gears is the extreme track toys one, where in a class of mostly non road legal cars you get stuff like the Bugatti Divo and the Ariel Atom thrown in.

Surely they could go in the hypercar and regular track toys categories respectively, leaving the extreme track toys one just for the insane non road legal stuff, but alas…
