FH5 is my most played game again this year. Only achievement I'm missing is the one for pinging 20 players in Hide and Seek. I just can't pull that one off no matter how hard I try.

I'm shocked it didn't even make my top two. I enjoyed it a lot more than the #2 pick though which isn't there by choice.

@PJTierney approves of this post.

Like you, I've got a different Forza game with more hours played this year, largely because it forces you to grind races for hours each month for FOMO cars.
Still, it's the ONLY stat I know for the bloody game and that's only known because of TA, since it STILL doesn't and never will have ANY STATS AT ALL in the bloody game.

I can loose hours playing Eventlab. That and me liking to complete playlists the time racks up.

So the reveal of the RZ34 Nismo coming to FH5 basically rigged last week's Backstage Pass voting in favor of the base RZ34. Luckily the Sentra I was missing from my Auction House sell-off I was able to snag from the Auction House so it wasn't a huge loss. Either way, it looks like the Nismo's PI rival, the post-facelift 2020 Audi TT, is goin' up against the SL 63 and Wheelspin-exclusive Alpine A110. Betting the Audi TT will pull this off (much to my eternal consternation 'cause I think the SL 63 is a wonderful car) but never underestimate the power of Wheelspin exclusivity when it comes to drawing in votes.

EDIT: By the way the Treasure location this week is a right asshole. If this doesn't confirm Year 4 of content is definitely on its way I don't know what would. :P

One neat detail on the Bentley Flying Spur is the hood ornament can be hidden but only on Forzavista mode. Just press the explode button and the hood ornament will hid by itself. There is no prompt specific to hid the hood ornament though just like hood, doors etc at least on PC version of the game.

No other model of the Flying Spur has the ornament except the Mulliner variant, so the version depicted in the game is definitely that one.

Which, that absolutely explains why it's in Super Saloons and not GT Cars. I think the Continentals we have in game are Speed variant cars, but I don't know for sure.

I feel like it makes sense, though, considering that the theme of this month is essentially High Performance Dailies Part 2 (RZ34 Nismo aside--turns out that car is in the Playlist as another surprise Forza collab to celebrate Nismo's 40th anniversary as a brand). If the Flying Spur they scanned wasn't the Speed trim, maybe they just had a hard time finding an update it could fit into until things just fell into place, which could be why we didn't get it until now even though it's been in the files for years.

Names listed in "leak files" stopped a long time ago because of people sharing them around so often. All of the potential sources of them are either encrypted or stripped of names now.

Of the leaked cars I would wish for the ones that wouldn’t exactly qualify as muscle cars😅:

Lincoln Mk VIII
Jensen Interceptor (which would kinda fit as it has that US V8 in it)
Ford Thunderbird
Hudson Hornet

yea no doubt lol midnight muscle!? sure here 2024 dodge charger EV 🤷‍♂️

The corners in this week's EventLab Guanajuato City Slickers event were horrible and seemed to be designed for the AI to nudge you into a sharp blind turn while they all passed me beeping their novelty horns. Rewind recommended.

Achieving a clean lap in the monthly Rocoso Sprint Caddy Rivals required a number of restarts that I'm far too embarrassed to disclose here but which, I'm prepared to reveal, ends in "-illion". I probably shouldn't've chosen Speedy Gonzales @Edax 76 as my competitor but I was eventually able to smash the required time without smashing my car in the process. Best to get those turns in early doors while aiming to hit the inside checkpoint flags on the apex.

I don't think we'll need to worry about that. A lot of our up-and-coming muscle cars, like the C8 Corvette ZR1 and the Charger EV, aren't even in scannable states yet. Last time Horizon added cars that were just coming onto dealership lots (or even before that) was Horizon Retrowave with the N Vision 74--and that was mostly because Hyundai's N division seemingly wanted to have an exclusive partnership with Forza. Even Modern Horizons's Mustang Dark Horse had already been sold for about half a year before it was put into FH5.

Heck, if I had to put together a more realistic preliminary prediction that doesn't lean heavily into Modern Muscle, it'd look something like this:

Summer: 2023 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody
Autumn: 1957 Ford Thunderbird
Winter: 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R
Spring: 1990 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z

I doubt we'll see post-1970s Pontiacs ever again, and there IS a valid case to be made for this update turning out to be Rods and Customs-oriented. But I do think we'll see a majority of returning/New-to-Horizon cars, with one show-stopper New-to-Forza. If they're serious about a Year 4 of content they could drop a whole load of highly-requested muscle cars on our heads, but I doubt it at this point, nothing will beat Horizon Track Day for me in terms of sheer unadulterated banger car updates.

Cheers for the kind words bud. I've played Rocoso a lot so I have the practice dialled in. I play on automatic gears as well so I'm not messing with gears in corners. Lazy I know, and if I bothered to learn to play manual gears I could be quicker, but for the arcade feel of the game I like auto.

I enjoyed the monthly time trails... That CTS-V estate has so little grip you basically slide it round the time trial :D On the other hand the M5 CS sound good and drives beautifully. Looking forward to getting my hands on it!

I had a pretty horrible time with the trail and it took two attempts, mostly thanks to two separate rammers in each, just managed to squeeze the win with the second try.

On my first try, in race 1 I was overtaking the second place monkey human but when I pulled alongside he decided to ram me off the track just before a checkpoint, then as I was careening out of control I saw him fail to make the checkpoint after that himself. I quit immediately.

On my second try, 3 people were using stock Civics, but we actually managed 2 easy wins. I was in an NSX with a good 4WD tune (as always getting off the line fast gets you out of trouble and ahead of the AI quickly).

So yeah, it's pure luck as usual but thankfully I only wasted a couple of minutes on my failed first try and then it all went swimmingly.

Very cool. Didn't notice that in Forzavista. Love the Flying Spur. Its a very nice way to waft around the map lol
