Strange most stock cars Ive tryed (and I didnt try many stock cars to be honnest) lock the brakes - but some only lock them at very low speeds

EDIT: I remember that event and yes that car didnt lock the brakes not even at low speeds (and braked very poorly) but I think its an exception

Even with ABS turned on, and all other assists off in elite mode, I can still force a trail brake to bring the back-end around going into a turn if need be. NFS S2U on a PS3 Slim using a Fanatec GT3 RS wheel and STANDARD Fanatec Carrera pedals. Maybe someone should take a 2nd look at their Fanatec Clubsport or ThrustMaster brake settings....just sayin'....

I don't know if anyone else noticed this - but one thing I really liked was that they will lock differently depending on the temp / wear state of each brake. So you can even end up turned around from braking hard enough just from the difference in brake efficiency (and the tyre wear/temp adds another layer of complexity on top of that) :)

Who do you rate for reviews.
Please state.

i don't give a about any reviewer, because review are subjective and reviewer are paid by publisher to say what they say.

i review my games.

I would rate AutoBlog's Tim Stevens. He's quite good. ISR's review of Shift 2 was far from the dumbest one I've seen - though they probably made the most sure to go into some real overkill stupidity. I think it was PC Gamer (not a small publication where they don't have editors, either!), or somewhere, that had a tangent about bringing his first FWD Nissan under control in the game. Sigh.

They came up with a great way to get free top class wheels, buttkickers, playseats and games and thats a fact so they cant be all that stupid...

One thing is getting to the top, other thing its holding in there. If they start to make dumb reviews they'll get discredited pretty soon.

Anyway, its not like being idiots. I think its more a case of not worrying as much from what I've read around here.

Also, hiding a bad review with a good score is not justifiable and it was a(nother) mistake in that particular review.

I don't care anyway, I only end up visiting the site whenever someone points it out.

Forums rule :)

The thing is not everyone thinks it's a dumb review, so for those people maybe they didn't get discredited...:P

The only reason I watch reviews is to see gameplay footage. That's why I like Mark from ClassicGameRoom (on Youtube) because he never gives actual review scores, just plays and talks about a game. I've never really taken the ISR guys very seriously, but I do enjoy their shows and like watching their reviews, regardless of whether I agree with them or not.

👍
Probably the racing game I spent more time playing, had more fun in online racing, knew most of my actual play pals, was completely bashed by them-contrary to S2U which got pretty high scores, they didn't just said it was a hard core sim racer as some were desiring to hear, plenty of pleasantry and compliment- I didn't called them idiots, dumb or anything...in our SCC dedicated forum we just disagreed with their analysis and mocked the show with naughty references to Jessica's...let's say Physical noticeable attributes!:sly:

Yeah SCC simulated pretty well....

...how it is to drive a car on ice

Or maybe it was just my skill not being good enought for that game... but I felt really disconnected with the tarmac

This is where I call You...:sly:
No, not really.
It's Your opinion and I respect it-really, not just saying.;)

I must admit it was a hidden gem most did not appreciate!
It was really a love or hate game(most hated tbh:)) but those of us who played it for months had really good times with it.
Enough with off topic, my point was: it is possible not agreeing with someone and yet giving them credit for their work, appreciate their show and enjoying watching Jessica.:sly:
