...An Irmscher, eh? Aren't they a tuner? Or is this a factory offered trim level, like that Corsa Irmscher thingy?
 
Irmscher is an independent tuner but they have mainly focused on Opel cars.

Opel/Vauxhall have their own in house tuning divisions called OPC and VXR.
 
The car design is cool, but the rims are just plain horrible. Was this considered hip back in the 80s?
I don't like the rims either but, IF it comes to the GT-series we can change them :P It happen many strange things in everywhere in the world of design in the 80's

Yes, Irmscher is a tuner like Robin says but from 1985 the trim level of the Turbo simly was named Irmscher because of the new bodykit that Irmscher did help Isuzu to design :)
