Suzuka Circuit – World Event
Times – 04/ 19 / 34/ 49

Info: This event is for the cars that don’t get used. Its for the cars the PD don’t seem to be using online anymore and are just collecting dust. It will run in the same way as PSTC555 event did. The cars you think will be evenly matched and fun to race, you can tune yourself, others will test it, if its good then I will add it to the front page.

Rules & Regulations

  • It has to be any of the listed cars below with the exact same specifications.
  • The settings on all cars must be stock other than the tyres, power and weight. So things like suspension adjustments are prohibited.
  • PP Points & Tires are regulated to their respective car class which are listed above.
  • There is no limitation on TCS, ABS or ASM, adjust to your liking.
  • Every race begins 20 seconds after the official race. Therefore please clear the race track to the best of your ability to let others through without too much drama.
  • GTP etiquette are the same here, good clean racing and remember to have fun!

FAQ:

Why this race?
People love having challenging racing, it allows other GTP members to race in cars they don’t get chance to.

How should this race start?
This race will start by pulling to the side of the track first. Once it says GO, you MUST pull to the side to let the other cars pass. Once this has happened, pull back into your grip positions that it started you (move to the next one if there is a space). Once 30 SECONDS has pasted, the race begins.

What is the race schedule for this event?
The schedule for this race is xx:04 / xx:19 / xx:34 / xx:49

Who can race?
Anyone is allowed to race but they MUST stick to the rules written above.

This event was previously a 500PP race, but to keep the evet fresh it will now be changed to 600PP I will make some tunes later on tonight, but feel free to post settings in here if you have some.

This is something i would have LOVED to see implemented in GT5:P, why it's been ignored is beyond me. A low PP race with expert physics and with lower class vehicles would provide excellent racing.Private rooms can come soon enough.

Is there any good FRs that could be taken into count and restricted to 500PP while considering what cars to use?

Edit: Ofcourse the kind that would be an even match for these FFs.

Yeah sure. If you can match it then use it 👍 Just make sure the cars are even :)

Ok thanks. I'll try lapping the Integra first and then try some FRs with different settings and see wich ones can match the laptime of Integra. 👍

Allright I tested a couple of FRs to find out the proper ones for this event. Remember that I only lapped these cars a few times and only against Integra. So the cars and settings might not be very accurate but you can ofcourse test them yourself as this is just to give you some perspective on what cars might do well in this event. Also remember that I drove the Integra using the setups listed in this thread. So these cars could be more evenly matched against it if you'd reduce the power and put on S2s.

BMW Z4

Power: 0
Weight: 101%
Tyres: S3/S3

Mazda RX-8

Power: 0
Weight:110%
Tyres: S1/S1

Acura NSX

Power: 0
Weight: 109%
Tyres: S2/S2

This ones a bit tricky but once you get used to the oversteer it keeps up with Integra pretty well. You could ofcourse add some more weight and put on a set of higher grip tyres. 👍

Then there's two more cars I tested just for fun. These ones will keep up with Integra on the first corners of the track, but after the hairpin the Integra vanishes into the horizon so I think these cars are not a suitable match. Thought I'd still list these cars as they are amazingly fun to drive and should be considered in one make races. ;)

Lotus Elise

Suzuki Cappuccino

Hope I was able to help somehow. You should consider testing all of these and give your opinions in this thread. ;) 👍

@Jack
nice idea:tup:

I tried the Golf and think i have found a good matching setup against the Integra:

VW Golf V GTI

Power: 245 HP (+47)
Weight: 1189kg (89%)
Tyres: S1/S1

The Mini setup will follow soon.....

@LiBi
nice Job, i will try your Z4 setup:) or 💡 maybe we can check these cars in a online race now?

Hey guys. Been at work and just got and checked to see if there was any feedback.

Thanks for the effort you put in 👍

I will add them to the list asap, and I will be racing later tonight if anyone wants to join me 👍

Thanks for taking part guys.

I think with abit more practice and a few more racers it could turn out to be fun :)

Ow and S13SR20 you have to use the tune from here.

i´m so sorry for that poor race, but the GTI is very strange after driving the tuned corvette:nervous:

@04 i will try the Z4 or maybe the Integra...

see you?

I will be back online in about an hour mate. Will you still be on?

Hopefully we will get some more racers to take part tomorrow or even tonight! Hope to catch you later on mate.

Thanks for trying out this event :)

i will try another setup for the Z4@49, because it´s not really matching with S3 and 101%wheight against the Integra.

Edit: I think that is better for the Z4, but still not machting in top speed:

HP +3
weight 87%
S1
