And Mazda... I'd say that it is arguably the most important piece to the Ford puzzle these days...

I'd have to agree there. At the moment all it seems that's keeping FoMoCo alive is the Mazda3, F150 and Mustang.

I don't see why TATA bought those 2 brands, since they seem to be so keen on making "People's Cars" Makes you wonder, eh?

It wouldn't surprise me of Ford Europe was responsible for keeping Ford Int' alive.

My "girlfriend's" best friend and I got a good kick out of the maker of the $2500 car owning two of the highest brands on the planet . Although I guess the top brand on the planet is owned by the company that quite literally makes the "People's cars."

Both Ford Australia and Ford Europe are turning profits, but their combined net income of maybe $600 million isn't enough to offset a net loss of $2.7 billion. They certainly are helping, but they aren't keeping the company afloat. And even with that performance, I don't see then going away any time soon, seeing that Chrysler is still around and they seem to be in worse shape.

Maybe they could make Land Rovers REAL off-road vehicles, as opposed to leather-lined behemoths that will never leave tarmac.

amen to that. bout time they made the "off roaders" desirable to people who actually go off road like they used to lol although there wouldnt be much demand cos all the early decent land rover series are still going :P
