Does anyone else have this? Have you signed up for the music store yet? If so, have you bought any songs yet?

I love this program! Bye bye Winamp! I signed up for the music store but I can't buy any songs yet. I have to wait untill my mom gets paid. :( About the only thing that I don't like about iTunes for Windows is the lack of plug-ins. Specifically DPS's. I'm so used to listening to "doctored" music but I guess it's not so bad after all.
:D

Here is the official page.

Erm, I have iTunes for Mac, of course... :P Haven't bought anything from the Music Store though, because I'm not thrilled by the idea of having to download those huge files via my ridiculously slow dialup connection.

I recently saw some Mac's at my local computer shop(Future Shop).

There selling a really nice Apple computer the one that's white and has that leg with that flat screen. For $1499.99 really good deal.

Check this!

I would get a mac but I dont really feel like paying the money for one. I'm happy with my pc. Anyways I havent tried iTunes yet. Whats different about it besides the music store?

I want a mac too. Its just I actually want to be able to use it instead of look like...well...a colorful paperweight...

...and yes, I do have reasons for saying this, not just beacuse microsoft has brainwashed me. And no, I dont like pentiums either...

In a comparison with the brand new top of the line gaming mac, and the new 64bit Athalons the Mac had better stats in only 1 catagory. Last place.

iTunes is interesting. For playing music i still prefer Winamp 2.93. The cool factor for iTunes is the really easy way of sharing music with people on your network. At home this has no benefit because there are only two computers. But at work with have 60 workstations both Mac and Windows. If I can get half of these people using iTunes and copying their CDs to their personal libraries we'll have tons of music to listen to at work. AWESOME!

Yeah, the benefits of iTunes for your average user are worthless. However, to someone who wishes to actually purchase music it can be a good thing. Or someone like me who resides on a fair sized network of music people it can also be good. I can only imagine what it would be like on a network of a thousand or so users.

just got it, my friend convinced me to DL by sending me $20 gift certificate.
he was one of the people who worked on putting itunes for pc.

i like it, specially what the artists listen to...
:P

 it's nice to know I'm not the only one on a slow ass dial up connection. I haven't bought anything off iTunes yet and I'm still not convinced of these kind of sites because they never have what I'm looking for. I think part of it is because artist are still reluctant to use sites like iTunes because they have little copyright protection or don't get paid "enough" from it. I don't know?

I like getting singles more than albums but getting them was hard because you had to wait for the stupid CD and then get shafted on the price. So my idea is that since they are able to put songs online to download then they should be available the minute you hear it on the radio.

I want to get iTunes but I have a lot of other things that I need to buy first (college savings). But I really like the idea of paying a small price for legal music.

You guys are talking a lot about the iTunes store - what do you think of the actual program iTunes? How does it compare to other mp3 players you've used?
