I just got robbed of my Blackberry Torch and money while i was walking with my mates to get some food. Two guys asked if we had weed and we said no and they didn't believe it. Then my friend tried walking away and the guy said that he was to afraid to do anything. They he grabbed my other friend by the neck and said if he had anything in his pockets and searched them. He also searched my pockets and found my phone and money and took it. Then my my other friend(first one who tried to walk away) said that he did not have anything. Then the guy kept hitting his face with his fist and he almost cried. Later they ran away and we walked to my home and to our surprise there came a police car. We told them how they looked like and they went to search them. They also said that we must contact the police about this tomorrow. We are gonna do that and see what is gonna happen. I'm really shocked right now and i'm afraid to go outside for the risks that they will find me again. Any thoughts?

They were in there 20s. I am only 14 years old so this is really a shock for me. I can't get it out of my head.

Deeply sorry for a such thing to happen :( I guess stay inside for now w/ constant communication with your friends and a guardian until you contact the cops again. Perhaps they will catch them and take them in.

EDIT: By the way, how's the injury on your dear friend?

There now at home and told their parents. When they were at my house we were all emotional for this. I am hoping this won´t ever happen again.

Kay. And hopefully it won't. Not sure if you saw the Edit, but how's the wound on your friend? And where were you guys at during the incident?

His jaw really hurts. He says that it feels a little weird but he couldn´t find the exact words for it i´m afraid.

Oh. I hope that heals ASAP :( I would try to avoid the place where the event occurred. If you have to take the long way if possible 👍

My question is that won't the thugs want revenge if they get caught?

Good point. I would think the officers will lock them up but I'm not sure about that. And who knows if the thugs have relations with other people who will take care of it :scared:

I think they do want revenge if they get caught. I am trying to avoid the place and this is why i am really scared.

I guess try and wait until it wears off? But I doubt that will work.. Perhaps you could demand an interrogation so they could also track down relations to the thugs or further "limitations", like house arrest.

^^

You could try sticking in crowds or group of people if you decide to go somewhere, never like in a lone area or something like that, unless there's officers nearby. But I think that's already common sense.

And that could be a possibility.

Are pocket knifes illegal to be carried/concealed in the Netherlands?

Get one for protection if you can.

You could carry a 9-iron or a baseball bat when with your friends.

Most people with think you are going to play a game but that is just the guise you are after.

In reality you are using it for self defense.

You not should hold off from telling the police because you're scared of them wanting revenge, because that will let them think that they can get away with it.

Trying to defend yourself using weapons is a stupid idea, trying to defend yourselfs against 20 year old lads when you're only 14 is also a stupid idea, you're just asking to get hurt more in that situation. Your best bet is always to try to run to safety.

Wow that is bit to heavy to wear isn´t but for self protection its great but the problem is they have my phone so when they want to find me they show a photo of me and that´s why I really am scared. I don´t think i will be going to school this week, it´s just to dangerous.

But if we talk with the thieves we may sort this thing out like it never happened. That´s what they in those conversations right.

Sorry to hear about this :(

I've been through something similar, so I know how you feel.

As it happens, although my mate got a kicking, the guy who attacked me came off worse, I had a bottle of Southern Comfort in shopping bag (long story), and I managed to pin the guy up against a fence (he'd tried to grab me from behind, so I ran him backwards into the fence), I dropped everything else except for the bottle and just swung at where I thought his face was... made a bit of a mess of his face, I let him out when I realised he was bleeding, then, as he was retreating, he was threatening to cut me up... I laughed and told him to **** off. Like I say the other guy had managed to land a few kicks to my friend, so he wasn't so lucky.

The thing that got me wasn't fear, it was anger. I think it's always important to stand up for yourself even when that may result in getting a kicking.

Well, is there any remote access thing for the blackberries? For example on the iPhones/iPads you can remotely lock it so it can't be used, and also wipe the data. Also, if it's on contract then notify your network.

Good luck in the future, here's to hoping nothing like this never happens to you again.

first of all, sorry about what happened to you and your mate.
But I doubt you will see your phone again and if I was you I wouldn't worry about them finding you through your phone, because your sim card will have been taken out and replaced with one of their own.

I think it's a random act of violence, happened to my mate once too. Stole his laptop and he got beaten up by 3 guys, never to see them again.
I'm hoping the police is able to do something about it.
