I've had it with lobbies. Time to review bomb GT7 again

Just had my 9th blue screen today when exiting a lobby that is already in a race... that I couldn't tell was already in a race because that feature has been removed.

Seeing as it seems to make PD pull their finger out and that I haven't submitted a review, I think it's time to see if we can get GT7 a well deserved 1/10.

Simce online was introduced in Prologue, we all know that's the place to have great racing. I don't understand why they have ditched it.

Yep. It's only been doing it since they "improved" gt7 with update 1.15. Before I used to get a.blank black screen. Same result - I had to restart gt7 only with the blue screen this now takes longer because you have to wait for the PlayStation to capture the crash too.

It's not just that they don't appear to care or know how to communicate, but they're monkies as well.

My days on GT in a nutshell

1. Open GT7
2. Go to MP, select lobbies
3. type in search parameters (race for real, PP or track)
4. find a lobby that looks good
5. Join, only to find out the race has already started (seriously, why isn't this info on the main menu like it was in SPORT!?)
6. repeat steps 3-5 three times
7. finally get a lobby not in a race
8. select a car and tune it to the required PP/requirements
9. leave tuning menu only to find out race is starting and I missed the entry period (why don't we get 10 seconds warning?)
10. swear at PS5 and screen
11. repeat steps 3-8
12. Finally get racing
13. Host rage quits on the final lap of a 10 lap race and the lobby ends (why no migrating lobbies!?)
14. quit GT7 and open ACC

I stopped qualifying waiting for PD to turn the penalty system and SR calculations around. That was in 2018, still waiting.

So far PD has only been making the game worse and is already behind the update schedule GT Sport got. My 1 review stands for now and probably for a long time to come...

And why would people change their review after they quit the game because it was not fit for purpose. PD can fix the game (unlikely), can't fix the experience you had with it...

First of all, PD turning GT7 around to be the best thing ever just isn’t going to happen. It’s going in a downward trajectory, even when they fix the payouts, they found something else to break. They clearly don’t care about their user base at all, so the hypothetical situation you’re talking about won’t happen.

Second, even if they turned it around, it still was a poor launch, and that reflects on the product. It was and, as of today still is, a massive disappointment. So much potential wasted on an MTX driven reskin of sport with fewer MP options.

Well, that kind of falls back on PD for releasing an unfinished game, releasing updates that completely ignore some of the most glaring issues, and offering no meaningful communication to the community that supports their business. If they had their **** together they wouldn't have to worry about negative reviews and whether or not someone goes back to rectify them.

Btw, being new to the community doesn’t mean we’re new to gaming or the Gt series. I came her because I was shocked at how bad gt7 was at launch. I got some satisfaction at least knowing others felt the same.

The game is in a **** state, people are going to complain. The game is going to get heavily negative reviews that won't change, because the game had a **** release. It's been 3 months and it's not much better. It fully deserves its bad reviews.

Yes by all means, because the rating on Metacritic is so low now and the reviews so cringe and low effort keyboard face rolled that they are totally useless. And it reeaaallly says more about the reviewers than the game.

So far it has been an excruciating experience.

I think they will fix it, but by then most of the interest will have evaporated.

I hardly play GT7 at all as there is not much SP content (1.15 was just a couple of afternoons) and MP is in shambles, maybe once a week, while when I played GT Sport I raced almost daily.

I would LOVE to play GT7 daily as well, but I just cant.
