I've solved what is the 'oversteery' mess that is GT7...

coming in very late here... I use a hand controller, so this problem may be different to what has been discussed already.
regarding 'snap oversteer' - for whatever reason, it occurs only on right-hand corners, fast or slow it doesn't matter, under acceleration or even coasting around the bend/corner, off into the weeds I go.
even stranger, on some tracks it is quite random when it occurs, and then on others it happens at the same place no matter how quick or slow I take the corner (remember, it is always to the right).
in the weekly BoP races this normally doesn't occur, but then when you least expect it - off I go again.
I have softened the rear suspension as much as possible in all the cars I own and race, used ballast (up to 100kg and all the way forward), so looks like I'll give the LSD tune a go as well as the toe out trick if that doesn't work.
I wonder if it is the controller that is causing all this grief. any thoughts on that would be appreciated.
cheers
I imagine you found this thread from Google, honestly if I had to guess if it's literally only right and not left I bet it's your controller. I wore the stick on my launch PS5 controller and had to buy another, eventually the sticks wear out and at center will randomly spaz out and lean just enough away to screw up hardcore.

There's no reason for a car to be radically biased to one side in this game it isn't NASCAR.

I'd been 'Googling' the problem for months and couldn't find the exact same problem.
as I suspected and you more or less confirmed, it was the controller. now a happy camper with a new controller to use.

...by increasing the front toe angle to outwards.

Because of the amount of oversteer these cars naturally have in game, l believe we have never had to resort to dialling in a toe-out angle on the front because we all know, in real life it promotes oversteer. Not so by GT7's logic...

It promotes understeer. So there you go...no more need for ballast.

This game is so wonked out, it's nuts!

So these cars come from the manufacturer with the optimum toe and camber settings for its application. Gr7 ......the base full race customizable the toe is 0 in the front. .20 in the back. Also the cambers are all 3.0
Most street cars have the same toe but cambers are usually .5 for the front and 1.5 in the rear. I find camber to have more affect that toe. So what i do is whenever i upgrade a street car suspension to full race....I accept all the values they give except the 3.0 cambers . I only change the camber angles the same as stock. And if you have upgrade to more power, diff and gears.....add .5 to front and back....for a 1 in front and 2 in rear..........LMK IF THIS HELPS

GT7 physics are quite bad for people who want to pick up and play offline without tuning. And Sport Mode. And any League Racing.

The physics, for the majority of GT7s life cycle, have been a step backwards compared to GT Sport imo
