......it that each car has its own distinct character and in their own way:
RX-7 has the legendary Rotary engine plus its predesesor the 787B was the only Japanesse and the only Rotary powered vehicle to win the Le Man.
NSX has its revolutionary VTEC system and a reputation in the CART and the FIA F1 championships.
3000GT/GTO revolutionized the sophisticated AWD system and created a ultamate handling Japanese supercar.
Skyline has a popular Japanese image in a JGTC and in production car icon and a very long historical experience, before Nissan, before Datsun. It was made by Prince motors in the 50's or 60's(?) before aquired by Nissan.
Supra was actually made in a Celica platform but w/ its own identity, it created a plateau to make Toyota the best JPN car in the world.
Fairlady/Z-series made a car that can compete Porsche in an affordadle price.(I prefer Skyline)
Lancer EVO-series made a status symbol in rallying, thanks to Tommy Makinen (now in Subaru), the EVO (along with Makinen) became the most sucessful rally car/driver in FIA history (since EVOIII to EVO VI).
Impreza has the same atributes as the EVO but in a different angle. Around the world, the Impreza is the only compact car that has a Boxer engine layout and the All Wheel Drive system standard in all models.
Civic started the trend "Rice Burners", and in the early years (CVCC before) it got all the humiliation from Camaro, Firebird, Nova, Mustang, and other musclecar owners in the early 70s. Now who got the last laugh. 😈
peace. 🤬
