Japanese Touge cars

Was just wondering if professionally tuned cars like the Amuse S2000, Re Amemiya RX-7, Mitsubishi HKS Time Attack etc are strictly road legal cars? Are they available for purchase as complete cars or are they designed for mountain racing and hot laps?
 
I don't expect there's a single answer to this. It' subject to laws of individual jurisdictions and the product aim and policy of each individual company.

You'd probably have to contact a particular company to find out what they offer and for what purpose, and consult laws for a particular jurisdiction.
 
Most of those that appeared in video games and/or media like hot version, best motoring, etc were shop demo cars meant to show the capability of the tuners rather than a specific product you could buy off the shelf. It's a different model than some American tuners like Saleen or European tuners like Alpina which tend to sell complete cars.
