Jeremy Clarkson to leave Top Gear/BBC

Following a "fracas" between Jeremy Clarkson and a Top Gear producer, Oisin Tymon, which involved Clarkson verbally abusing Tymon and eventually punching him, the BBC has officially fired Clarkson. The firing occurred despite massive support for Clarkson, which included an onlie petition with more than a million signatures as well as a show of support from Piers Morgan, Clarkson's longtime adversary. The future of Top Gear is unclear however BBC Director General Tony Hall has stated the show will be renewed in 2016.
