Before looking at a batch of pictures elsewhere, I thought this race was a night race. I know that JGTC race cars don't have lights like FIA GT race cars or anything, but I wouldn't mind seeing a few night races with the JGTC. Imagine Fuji or someplace at night or at least during sunset. Imagine the JGTC Finale at Suzuka with the sun going down and you facing Spoon Curve or the dreaded Casio Triangle. If they wanted to bring GT4 to live, they'd race some of the non-JGTC races. For example, bring that Hong Kong track to life and have the teams go at it. Try to tame the urban jungle of New York City and make the track there. Or hell- bring them to Laguna Seca!

As far as California Speedway goes, it's in a lovely setting. To me, it's one of my favorite race tracks in America. I remember when I saw my first season of (then) CART in 1999. The action was fast-paced and really favors high speeds. Sad thing is, it was unfortunate for us to lose Greg Moore in that race. When the road course deal was implemented, it looks like a pretty tough course.

I noted that some of the Race Queen cuties were there as well. What is the JGTC without these hotties? Should have been big fun. And if the JGTC wants to make America a stop on the tour, listen up, America! Put your teams together, then take on Japan's and the world's best drivers in this series! Dislike Japanese cars and want to beat them with American power, American teams? Make the challenge! The JGTC's morale may increase pretty doggone well if the international flavor intensifies.

Awww I wish I was there! I had to attend a wedding for a couple of days in Arizona and now I am back! Hmmm...From reading all these post, it sounds like most of you who attended the JGTC event find it quite dissapointing or in certain areas.

I really love the pictures you post LoudMusic!

By the way, was there really alot of people there? Anyone wanna describe how the "peoples" atmosphere over at that event was like?

It was a night race. I have videos but they're a bit large and Jordan has asked that I not host them through his site. I'll seek bandwidth elsewhere.

Other than that, it sounded like a pretty cool race. I think I read a little bit about the event, and I'm kind of going on the official JGTC website for pictures, but whatever I could find, it was pretty nice.

Hey! You got my brother and possibly ME in the background of your Wedsport Celica shot! Man that was a great weekend, got 4 hours of video. Will be posting pictures from my brother when he gets them back (he uses film). They will be great pictures, photography is his life.
