i just hope my NSX behaves nicely with the tires this time...

no more 2´49 laps :dunce:

will try to go with mediums... let´s see if that holds up...

Done my first race, too many spins :grumpy:

I have an interesting pit strategy too so we'll have to see how that pans out. I'm going to try again to eliminate the spinning.

I'm a huge fan of this track, when you're on a fast lap it really gets the adrenalin pumping.

But then there's my nemesis: Degner curves :scared:

Yeah Degner is said to be one of the hardest corner complexes on the F1 calendar. I would agree. The first part can be very hard to judge the turn-in, and the exit of "Degner B" (the second part) can be unpredictable as the road scoops. It's a make-or-break corner, cause if you run wide you lose truckloads of time in the sandtrap :nervous:

i love this track very badly since the Monaco GP days... good times...

now, i don´t think i´ll have time to make two races, so, its all or nothing in the first... i´m pretty sure i am not going to finish as well as the qualify, but i hope that i don´t get ashamed like i did in the last race...

going to travel over the weekend, so i have to race this one today...

Hopefully I will get a chance to try this race again. I was running a good race, with no problems, and then lap 25 came. Spin, pit penalty, and then lap 26 came. Off the track, pit penalty and finished. I estimate about 50 seconds lost to careless driving on the last 3 laps. ARGH!

But then there's my nemesis: Degner curves :scared:

the degner curves are my favorite part of the track, it is so easy in GT300, just tap the brakes for the first one and shift down to fourth for the second, I have never had a problem with those turns. I love this whole track.

i suck in races... in this one, i put RSS on lap 24... then, came the last lap... i had to run an entire lap with red front tires... again!

well, but since i don´t have time over the weekend, it will be the one i´m submitting...

very bad for a car that started 2nd...

Finished the race. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed it! I certainly improved my line through the esses, and I found a much better way of getting through those nasty degner turns. Overall, very enjoyable race! Unfortunately, I don't think I did too well; I spun once, and lost a good deal of time saving the car from either spinning or running wide into sand.

Time submitted, I quite enjoyed this race.

The frustrating thing is only learning the proper line of the track 20 laps into the race. I know I could probably take 25 seconds off my time easily but alas, no more time left for me.

Good luck everyone 👍

Wow quiet thread this week :odd:

Man I love this track! It's very tricky and technical, but there's just something about the rhythm of it...never a dull moment :)

Time submitted for Slayer Racing. I had a decent run, tried a couple of tire strategies and I think I chose correctly.

Good luck everyone!

:nervous: Time submitted. Had a good fast race, don't think i can really improve it very much ( a second or 2). The next race is going to be a hard one, Laguna is not an easy track to drive and the points chase is going to be very close for the gt300 class.

Did my race, i was really tired today as i´ve got some karting today and yesterday, so im alittle tired and i was playing in DFP asleep as hell. Did a good race at all, some to be improved not further 10 seconds tho, but it was without mistakes at all, no penalties nothing.

Dunno if its enough for a win this week, but for my car it was one very good race.

Results are up. :) Congrats to all who took the time to submit a time, and for the others alot of DNS this week and I'm not really happy to see this.

👍 to VTRacing and iceman for taking the win in their respective classes. 👍 Great showing again for the NSX's. My best finish so far in the season so I'm pretty :D

The Pedal Mashers had it all the way to the floor this week. :D Nice work VTR ;)

Well I know MR8 was out of town until Sunday Evening, so hope that something didn't stop him on his trip from returning on time, as he is normally good about the submissions. Will see I guess when Qual's come up for Round 8.

Congrats to everyone who submitted and the podium guys 👍

Nice one iceman in GT300 :)

I know it sounds bad but I should have been faster; I wasn't very happy with my driving, losing seconds in the gravel at Degner 1 a few times.

My pit strategy was a bit weird harold too. :boggled: Started on RS/RM, pit lap 4 switch to RM/RM for 5 laps, then back to RS/RM for 4 etc... The biggest problem was adjusting the driving style between the tyres. Softs on the front was faster but oh so pointy :nervous:

I would say bring on Laguna but I'm quite scared of it. I was ok with it in GT3 but I haven't got my head around the GT4 version yet. I don't expect to be competitive there but I shall do my best :)

Gratz to all on good finishes. If anyone sees a stray kitten, it maybe mine. Think I left one out there in the gravel lot in the far end of the course.

 :D I did find one in the gravel at the Spoon curve, I think that may be why my engine sounds rough. :dopey:

I just had a bit of a chuckle at Soyfu's time too, so near to a perfect 55'55.555 (only .003 off). Damn.

Congrats to all the podium finishers! I can't believe I missed 2nd place by 4 seconds :irked: If only I hadn't have run wide in Degner II that one time and missed my braking point for Casino on the final lap...oh well such is racing :)

Down to the final round and the scores are tight :nervous:

_____________________

I was planning to pit on lap 22, but as I was coming to the line, I felt it could be my fastest lap. I stayed out and, sure enough, it was the fastest (on worn tires!). Maybe I should've been running hards so I could slide a bit more. Loosening the car up seems to make me faster.

Fun race. Nice track.

 Looks like 2nd through 5th went across the line nose to tail, in the GT300 class. Now that is alot closer than i thought it would be on this track. Going to come down to the last race to see who is going to win, ME or ZERATUL. :nervous:

Congrats to the podium finishers

anyone else do a two stopper? that is what I did but the ****ing forced pit entry on the final lap didn't help!!!! what an idiot, I finished the race in the pits.

anyone else do a two stopper?

 I couldn't do a two stopper if super hards were available. I pitted four times, 6,12,18,24, first three stops I used RM/RS then RS/RSS for the last stint. Medium tires on my car are red half way thur 6 laps, I should pit after 5 laps but then I have to stop 6 times. How long is everyone else tires lasting?
