Sorry, but a guy like Prost earns my respect more than Schumacher... the drivers today are helped much more by electronics than they were 10 or 15 years ago...
Then why did Lauda spin twice when he said that then tried to actually drive the car?

but as young as Fangio when he was still winning championships.

If these cars are as easy to drive as these people are saying, surely that means that 1950s cars were even easier.

Wow, Fangio sure did luck into those championships, at least he never had to face Gregor Foitek or Claudio Langes ;)

How do you overrate someone who's won 4 titles, 52 races, and amassed 800+ points? True, he hasn't the ethics of Fangio, or maybe even the car control of Jim Clark. No, he wasn't as religious as Senna, as humourous as Piquet, or as media-friendly as Prost.

However, he actually has some feeling in him, and turining around a Ferrari team that hadn't won a constrcutor's title in 16 years is really something else. Benetton were in a bit of disarray until they made him sign a contract in late 1991.

Nobody likes a driver that wins all time...true, but please save it! Senna and Prost could make racing really dull at times. But give all of them them a challenge, and they would deliver!

Um, ..........Huh? Give me several examples of Schuey not delivering the goods....

Here, I'll name two:

1999 Canada
1997 Europe

No really, I could list at least 10 races Senna threw away (first-lap crap doesn't count).

Here is what its gonna look like next year for Ferrari and Mclaren.

Er - I would point out that the Benetton team was caught both:
- running illegal launch control software (even if it wasn't being used, it was there)
- tampering with refueling equipment

During the 93/94 season the FIA indicated that teams commiting either offence would be kicked out of the championship. Benetton committed both offenses, and all that happened was a couple of fines and Tom Walkinshaw leaving (which was going to happen anyway).

I still think JPM will win a title, but only after MS and most of the Ferrari team retires. And that may be after next year, at the earliest.

Still, I hope Ralf and Montoya stay with Williams...the last frontline team that really permits two number one drivers! They are quite evenly matched.

But the F2002 has proven to be one dominant machine...It would be a tight title race if JPM and MS had equal cars. Schuey, makes the F2002 the easiest darn car to drive; look at his demeanor during the USGP, he was hardly rattled or stirred during the in-car camera shots.

It appears the only thing MS can't do right is the formation finish!

toleman19 you could be right and I have similar thoughts, however It'll all depend on the advancements of the teams..especially :ferrari:

Eg if the current teams :bmw:, :mclaren:, :jaguar: etc.. only manage to match Ferrari's current car and then Ferrari improve for next year we'll be getting into a vicious circe of dominance :spin:

Too true alex I think they need to come up with something better than this years car, and better by far to have a chance'.
