Just an idea

GT5P doesnt have (detailed) tuning but GT will have it for sure (like GT4P didnt have and GT4 had). So I just wanted to know if there is any possibility that they put "LHD conversion" (and RHD conversion for LHD cars ) under tuning menu so we could drive japanese and english cars on "our" side? That costs not more than $10.000 for any car and such price should be in the game too (actually price isnt that much important, I would pay $100M just to drive some japanese cars like LHD). I think this really isnt hard task for programmers and could make the game MUCH better. Of course it wouldnt be enough just to put wheel and gauges on the left side but also to change the car balance, which also shouldnt be hard to do.

Cool idea. Left hand conversion. I don't see why not but I wouldn't waste money on converting any of my cars unless I cant buy a LHD 350z.

-> It a cool idea especially for the LHD-boy like me (Philippines and US are both LHD countries). :)

-> But this should be restricted to cars that came out with RHD/LHD variants only, like the most cars all around the world.
-> But with the likes of Corvette (US), Viper (US), and CTS-V (US) for LHD; and Ford Falcons (AUS), Skyline GT-R's (J), and Silvia [S15](J) for RHD. These car should not be converted because in reality, there is no such conversion in existence, unless you want a 'mirror' effect. ;)

Right, this option should only be allowed for models with both LHD and RHD's available, and would be chosen at the time of buying the car (obviously not a choice in used cars)

I'd like the choice right out of the showroom. 👍

I'm quite surprised, this is a damn good topic. I like it. Good idea su27killer. :)

@Vanishing&Deadly : there arent official conversions, but in private workshops for $10K they'll put wheel and controls on the trunk if you want :D Im almost sure there are converted Skylines out there, not so sure for NSX-R though and some other cars but it is possible and it is not ultra expensive, except if some older car is worth $5K and conversion costs $10K :) It would make sense in the game because its not the real money and Im sure you all had money to throw when you had finished GT 1,2,3 or 4 :)

In Australia LHD to RHD conversions are not uncommon (non factory conversions), as you cannot legally register a LHD here that is not over 30 years old. It is rare to see conversions done that matches OEM quality though.

Even the LHD R34 conversion I have seen was sketchy at best.

Personally having driven many LHD and RHD cars I don't really care and would rather PD spend their time on other modifications personally.

On a racetrack LHD or RHD doesn´t really matter, since you´re not facing any opposite traffic or any crossroads, so I don´t really see the necessity of this at all. Cool for sure, but very useless.

Not useless if I would, personally, feel more comfortable, and many others I am sure (if you feel comfortable every way, good for you). It would take few hours of programming at most. In GT2 you could choose wheels and that definitely took much more programming and was more useless than this for sure.

If we wanna imitate the reality, this should stand under tuning menu and cost something :) If there is LHD offered by manufacturer then its of course OK to be an option from the dealer.

^ None of the 'convertions' are offered from official manufacturers. But it will be served at a separate firms like this one:

good Idea but like someone mentioned, it should be an option from the dealer
^ At a separate dealer like Mine's or Gemballa, not at the actual Ford dealership. ;)

Wow...PD have really nailed the interior modelling of the Ford GT. Shame the dash is so dark though. But for some reason in the game it feels a lot more like a racecar, maybe it's because I don't realise it's leather. Lol but good work PD!

nice. well I was thinking of cars that come from both sides.

I was a bit concerned about the topic when I started playing the Prologue. I´ve never driven a RHD car in real life. But now, after done close to 100 laps with the GTR, in the game that is :) ,I've adapted the style. Not a problem at all.
