I am not happy with this at all so far. The controls just don't feel that good and they even left out sprint. Before I say this I already yanked out my ethernet cable and the load times still kill it. Sometimes it fast others slow for the SAME challenge. This cost me £45 £2 more than fallout 4 k feel a bit robbed at the moment

Edit. Rage quit has been induced im just gunna watch youtube with a cider now I think.

Are you playing it on PS4? I was really interested in this game till some things I have read today.

Yes ps4 I was doing a challenge and I got 1 fast retry (about 15-20 second) and the rest were nearly 1 minute I would say.

After playing Fallout 4, I am surprised you are not already used to long loading screens.
I might eventually rent JC3 but after hearing it still didn't have co-op campaign, I lost interest. This is one of those games that would be so much more fun as co-op just like Far Cry 4.

True lol but 2 things 1. I enjoy playing playing fallout so it doesn't bother me so much and 2. Imagine fallout but every building took 30-60 seconds to load. Sometimes if its a small place it loads pretty quick. I did really want to like this game I got a pre-order and cycled to the game shop after work to get it.

I do agree that would be disappointing for sure. Could it possibly be a major bug? For every building to take that long does not seem right at all.

Well people suggested it was due to the game trying to connect to a server but mine was still bad after I literally pulled the ethernet cable out during a long load. Its not really entering buildings but you die more in this game than fallout and it has challenges to unlock stuff. So failing a wing suit challenge after 20 seconds makes me mad when I have to wait longer than that for another go. Surely they shouldn't hzve to reload the whole thing just to restart.

I spent around 3 hours on it.

PC doesn't have these issues. It crashed once on me. Paid 18€ on black friday for it.

And I quite like it so far.

And can't wait till multiplayer gets added. After the mayhem of JC2 it will be insane.

Graphics are good for such a huge sandbox game.

I have this on PC too, it runs great so far, has really nice graphics and is fun to play. I would recommend it on PC for sure.

I think its brilliant, got it on ps4...a few screenshots

Has anyone else noticed the really weird pacing of the story?

Just finished the mission where you stop a mini-war, climb on board a missile and disarm it as it's flying, and the very next mission has you driving a truck without spilling the barrels of wine in the back.

...wat?

I've finally found something I don't like about this game. And that is not being able to cancel the connection to servers. A few times now I've been stuck on the "connecting to server" screen when just trying to access the CommLink and there is no way (That I can work out) to cancel it.

This game has been the most stupid fun I've had on any non racing game.

Finding creative ways of liberating places is just so satisfying.

Only the server disconnections are the thing that irritates me.

XB1 by the way.

I must admit I was really looking forward to JC3 after playing the first two. I got frustrated after 20 mins of actual play due to the driving physics, the loading screens and the sort of wooden controls. I reckon I will still finish it but a few frustrations. I think maybe my expectations were a lot higher this time round.
The size of the map and the graphics are pretty impressive however, and the tether is fun too.

I'm still having great fun with this game, the car driving physics are rubbish, but still better than JC2 in my opinion. The motorbikes are horrible though, an almost impossible combination of twitchy yet unresponsive.

The only problem I've had with this game was introduced with one of the new patches.
Does anyone know if there is a way to revert the game back to an older patch on steam?

The game ran great for me since day one and these patches have done nothing I can see, other than make the game almost unplayable with joypad and mouse. I always use joypad and mouse for these type of games and it worked flawlessly until one of the recent patches. Now the game stutters when I use the joypad while also using the mouse.

Also there used to be leaderboards in this game but now there is none, is this the same for everyone?

I find my self constantly countersteering to the point where I crash. I tried a time attack without the e-brake and it was a disaster.

Yeah, the car/motorcycle handling sucks, to be honest. They must have gotten bad feedback from JC2 on that. Strange that it hasn't improved much. I tend to avoid all cars and motorcycles in JC3, whereas in GTA 5 I feel I have absolutely full control by just using WASD + handbrake. The handling there is sublime. Avalanche should learn from Rockstar in that regard.

The graphics are beautiful though, and the feeling of freedom from just wingsuit grappling across the terrain is awesome, as is crossing the ocean in a fast boat, or hitch-hiking on a plane. :) Using weapons to liberate towns gets old quickly though, so I need to be creative to have fun.

The physics for the cars are good. The motorcycles have cruddy physics. Especially the planes.

You should drive the pseudo-F1 car. Physics fly right out the window. Also there isn't any "good" physics in this game. It's entirely wacky.

Trying to get the Squalo X7 to a garage so I can have it for rebel drops and boat stuff. Tried lifting it with a helicopter but that's a terrible idea. Tried to grapple it across the ground with little luck. Then decided I'd tow it with a tank. Which worked. Until I couldn't slow down going down a hill and got launched into the air by the boat. Got back to the boat spawn, got another tank through a rebel drop as the nitrous helps a lot. Picked a different, shorter route that looked like it had better access to water. As I got my momentum going, the game crashed.

Maybe drive it as close to a garage as possible, then rebel drop the best helicopter you have to lift it onto the garage itself.

The problem with that is it spawns 6km from any garage, and it only spawns in 2 locations, that are landlocked lakes on the northern island. There are garages on the coasts, but it still requires you to get the boat to the sea first.

Well, what you could maybe do, is get a seaplane and tether it to the boat to get it out of the lake. Then fly the plane to the nearest garage and land, then get a rebel drop for a helicopter to get it to the garage.
