Just got a PS2 and gt4

Today I picked up a used PS2 and GT4.

I've had GT4 before, but that long ago when Inwas about 10-11.

On the good side, got a used SILVER 90001 unit...the lucky pick .

Only issue is the blurriness of the image (have 19" HD TV). Is there a way to fix this?

I think all PS2 games played on HDTV's look blurry, but maybe I just need my eyes checked. Try playing it on a different TV and see if anything changes.

GT4 supports 480p and 1080i. Get a component cable and enable one of those resolutions in the options of GT4.

...and don't forget that, unfortunately, 480p or 1080i has to be enabled again each and every time you load the game. Annoying.

ive had a look in screen options and i cant see 480p or 1080i options..

do i need a special lead?

My guess is that is to anticipate (sp?) GT4 players that (mainly) played from a 480p/1080i TV and tries to play it on a standard TV.

PAL copies of GT4 don't support 1080i output, unfortunately.

Unfortunately not, only 576i50.
