Hi all, this is my first post on here so forgive me if I'm asking for something that's already been done...

Basically I just reached the extreme series in B-Spec and noticed that you now have to tell Bob to Pit. I guess you probably won't need this function unless it's a really long race like FGT Championship... Then I noticed the 'Pit Strategy' button in the bottom right.

Could someone just explain to me: where it says, 'Pit-in strength level'; is this literally a measure of how many laps pass until Bob automatically pits, or is it more complex than that?

Thanks in advance.

It's the strength level of Bob when he pits. This is usually left off to avoid the trap of pitting every lap after a certain time:

Bob 1 recovers while Bob 2 drives. If Bob 2 is weak, Bob 1 will only recover some of his strength, thus he will pit sooner and Bob 2 will recover less, forcing HIM to pit earlier etc etc. Eventually you pit every lap.

Certain tracks create so much tyre wear that I use this to force pitting before the tyres are too bad (Tsukuba, I think....can't remember). But it must we watched carefully for a while to ensure you don't get into this 'diminishing returns' trap.

I suggest having atleast 3 bobs. I have 4 drivers all above 22 and set strategy to 10%. By the time they cycle around, driver #1 is fully recovered :)

I just reached level 20 as well. This whole time I've been using only one Bob without even thinking about the endurance races. Looks like it's time to start making new ones.

Thanks everyone, makes alot more sense now. I think I'll need a few more drivers if I'm gonna do the enduros, at the moment I've only got two decent Bobs, lol.

A level zero Bob can be put into a 24 hour endurance alone and come out unscathed.

He'll also come out at around level 36.
