Kaz racing at thunderhill

A little while ago I had asked a friend that is somewhat good friends with Ichi (of Spoon Sports) about the relationship between PD and them, and since, I remembered that PD sponsors Spoon and recently drove with Ichi and Spoon at ThunderHill so there is a very likely chance to see updated cars and models in GT5.

Not to mention the CR93. A wheel that either Kaz or PD helped to create with Spoon.

That's what I don't get. KY knows exactly how a racing car sounds, but still the can't manage to get close. Either they're unable to do so, or they'll deliver in the full game.

Kaz driving the FN2 SpoonSports that's dope! KAZ! Please Can we have FN2 and DC5 SpoonSports in GT5?!

What about Mugen Powers? Feel's? I heard that FN2 Type RR (TWO R) is faster than FN2 SpoonSports I can't tell it is true though rumors from Honda-Tech forums I might wrong though.

Thanks for video!

He can be one and the other. With racing career he will be fulfilling his passion towards cars and with videogames he will be yet fulfilling his passion of a programmer and also becoming enormously rich and famous. I am sure this is actually his dream, to reflect real driving onto virtual reality as much as possible so that people enjoy cars and driving, this will make mr. Yamauchi accomplished and proud of himself.

I guess you didn't play the demo then.

GT5p was ok, but the demo really delivers, the sounds got much better and i guess the full game will also have those improved sounds.

Is the sound 5.1 or is there support for HD? Didn't bother checking it out last night as I didn't have any problems with the sound. It was amazing through the sound system a big step up from GT5P.

I played it at a friends house (still waiting for Christmas for my new PS3) and he had a 5.1 Soundsystem wich sounded pretty good. I don't know if it actually made use of the 5.1 System properly, but it sounded better than GT5p.

If I heard what a racing car driver heard while played, I would quit Gran Turismo. Sure it sounds good sometimes, but it is the loudest, most obnoxious repetitive noise rattling the interior.

The exhaust is about right, and anything louder is just going to be exaggerated

I wouldn't like to think the Mugen RR is faster than a Spoon FD2, since the Spoon car is obviously a purpose built race car. But I hope both are in the game.

I think its 5.1 only, can't complain though sounded great overall and much better than GT5P.

It's not really the volume that's in question. It sounds too electronic [I know... (everyone together, now) 'it's a video game'], popping from lean mixtures and valve overlap is not really accurate, all turbos have the same basic blow-off sound, manning upgraded exhausts make totally different cars sound exactly the same, etc. I have heard some racing games sound more realistic than GT5P (and even the new GT5 videos that are coming out). But none of these games had 750 different cars to deal with. Holy crap that would be a lot of work!

The exhausts were noticeably different in GT5P, and I think the tuned 370z might have a supercharger with the whine, which is improved. But what I was saying is that you could make them louder and more pronounced, but it wouldn't normally be as loud from most perspectives. I really think blow off sounds will also be improved since everything else has gotten an overhaul.

Well it could be a dog box, but the whine is very apparent. There was a light whine in GT5P with the Jag, and being a tuned race car, and based off the Nismo from what someone else described the speedo, it could be S/C'd

Oohhhh... :) I love following him around on the track map. Hopefully they won't change the link to this photo any time soon. If anyone wants to follow with the track map, the video begins on the straightaway between turn 8 and 9. If you have any trouble figuring out where he is in the video, you can use as a marker the bridge on the next long straightaway after turn 13, or later on, the obviously closed off turn 5.

BTW: Thanks for the sweet video link!

Probably because most cars in GT are production cars which have soundproof which inherently dulls the sound.

What I don't understand are people who look at youtubes of cameras placed 2 inches from the exhaust and claim GT sound sucks because the game, where you are inside the car isolated from the sounds, don't sound like that.

If you want racing car sounds, simple, turn your volume up to loudest with a set of really bassy headphones. It sounds realistic when your ear starts to bleed. Which might explain why racing drivers all wear heavy duty earplugs. Ironic isn't it.
